@skinnycow: I do as well. "TTC" shouldn't stand for "trying to conceive," rather, it should be, "trying to concentrate (... on ANYTHING ELSE)!" π€£ Anyway, I'm so happy you got your early BFP!

@skinnycow: congrats!!!! I had a good feeling about you!
@Kaohinani: I donβt have any experience with temp drops etc. I did have very sharp implantation pains once and did get a BFP two or threee days later. But itβs true, itβs still SO EARLY!
AFM, I think Iβve ovulated, just not sure when. If I got a positive OPK in the early evening, is it possible to O like 12 hours later? Or is it usually longer? I never really got EWCM this cycle but lots of watery CM and it was all gone the morning after my positive OPK.

@QBbride: I OV between 12 and 18 hours after my pos OPK. I hope that is helpful.

@Kaohinani: it is still very possible to have a BFP after that early of a BFN. The cut off in all of the data I've looked at says a BRN after 11 dpo is when your chances of receiving a BFP drastically decreases.
I've attached a chart from FF that shows the frequency of people that received a BFP after receiving a BFN. I know it's not the full picture, but reassuring at the very least since your chart looks so great.

@Sams Mom: Thank you! That makes me feel a bit better. Does it state anything on the sensitivity of tests utilized during testing for data collection? I used a 10 miu test.
To try and make myself feel better, I also went on the HCG doubling site ... if I were 1 HCG on the suspected day of implantation, at a rate of 48 hours doubling, I wouldn't pop a positive until my actual testing date. At a 72 hour rate, it would be days after my POAS date. Knowing this DID make me feel a tiny bit better; however, I'm still a bit bummed. Besides being thirsty, I have itchy and slightly achy breasts, bloating, and a crampy "stretching" feeling down below. I also gag every time I cough ... something new this cycle. As usual, writing it off as Progesterone doing weird things to me. π€ͺ How are things on your end?

@Kaohinani: it's going ok so far. I did speak too soon when I told my husband yesterday I didn't think I'd have hot flashes this cycle . We're taking our son to the county Park boards farm fall fest today so he can see the animals, ride the cow train and hopefully there are pony rides again.
CD8 today and my ovaries feel like they're taking up 75% of my pelvic area, so fingers crossed that I get an excellent follicle this month.

@Kaohinani: thanks! That is helpful. I guess we will see π€·ββοΈ
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Sams Mom: π€ for a superhero follicle! I've learned my lesson not to get too excited about "not" having a particular side effect any month (medicated or not) ... I ALWAYS end up getting them after I gloat! π€£
Sorry, it has taken a bit to respond. I didn't have to teach class today so DH and I took the kids to see "Smallfoot" (* which was EXCELLENT!), then we grabbed an early supper, and popped into the grocery for a few items. With the exception of the BFN, it has been a pretty decent day.

Ok, here's where I've landed re: to test or not to test...
Since I have all of you wonderful ladies along for the ride (and moral support) with me, I'm going to continue testing every day to test out my trigger, and then most likely just keep doing daily tests with Wondfos until it's totally negative, or until my beta day arrives (10/15). I won't use a FRER for a preliminary test this month because I just can't trust the damn things. I know if I get a BFP on a Wondfo it's real - not some lame ass evap or what ever the hell that was last month.
So ladies, I hope you like POAS like you say, because every morning you'll be seeing one from me.

@yellowbeach: Lock and load those sticks, mama! π€£
I am absolutely ready to see a gazillion pee sticks from you... I'm UNBELIEVABLY hopeful we see the pos-neg-pos "boomerang" trend! π€

@Kaohinani: @yellowbeach: pee on all the sticks!
I'm just now starting OPKs, so I'm all for seeing all the pee sticks
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Sams Mom: Lol.
Right now I'm cowering to the sticks! The power of the stick is mighty! I'll live vicariously through everyone else's peeing and luck ... at least until around my POAS date, of course.

@QBbride: I think we might be POAS date twins! I am either ovulating today or tomorrow. When are you planning to start testing?
@yellowbeach: sounds like a solid plan to me! Canβt wait to see all the pee sticks!!
@Kaohinani: hoping for the best for you!!
Can I get my POAS date updated to 10/16 please?

@Kaohinani: WOW!! Thatβs A LOT of BFPs!!! And today is just the 6th of the month!!!
My son was conceived at the end of September or beginning of October and my daughter was conceived in the middle of October... so I feel like October is a fertile month π€£
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@QBbride: I know, I thought the same thing earlier when I marked skinnycow's BFP on the POAS roster! I'm [secretly] hoping some of the lucky babydust will find it's way to me. Speaking of luck: MAYBE October IS your LUCKY month ... F'x π€ it will be just as lucky this year as it has been in the past! π§‘

@Kaohinani: I just realized I'm a June baby myself.. so maybe that's extra good luck.
On a TMI but funny note, when I was 13 my dad his 50th Birthday party, and all my parents' old friends were roasting him. Basically, someone spilled the beans that I was conceived at a Halloween party in 1977 when my parents "disappeared into the cow field"

@yellowbeach: Wow! Scandalous, naughty, "tricks for treats" going on THAT Halloween! π€£ That is an awesome story! I found out I was a shower baby after a huge fight. Not nearly as interesting! π€£
Incidentally, IF I conceive this month, my due date would be my FIL's b.day. My DH is really pulling for this because we could tell his mother on her b.day about the pregnancy which would be due on her husband's.

@Kaohinani: @yellowbeach: not me thankfully but I've heard from more than one family friend that my sister is a result of a new years Eve romp on the back of the four wheeler in the middle of the woods. Thank God I haven't been subjected to my origin story (although my mom is getting freer and freer with sharing tmi info the older she gets)

@Kaohinani @samsmom: I never thought to ask what they both were dressed as...
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Sams Mom: Yeah, my mom let that secret slide when I was 17. I've been scarred ever since. As she gets older, more and more raunchy details seem to slip ... the worst part is my parents have been divorced for most of my life!!! I shouldn't have to relieve my conception (or "tragic" birth story) - EVER. π€£π€£

@starlitsky: hey cycle twin! I was planning on testing Oct 15 which would be probably 10 dpo. Not 100% sure on my ovulation date but I think thatβs a pretty good guess. Knowing me I might even try testing the day before but Iβm going to try not to! I have a ton of easy@home tests and a few dollar store tests and one FRER which Iβm going to try to hang onto if I see something on a different test.
clementine / 795 posts
@QBbride: I put my POAS date as 10/16 which Iβm guessing would be 10 dpo so I guess Iβm 1 day behind you, but I also have a ton of internet cheapies so Iβll probably realistically start testing at 8 or 9dpo... btw my son was conceived in September so Iβm hoping the fall is a fertile season for everyone!
@Kaohinani: thank you for updating the list!! Iβm feeling positive about October! Weβre off to such a good start, unlike August (or was it sep? Theyβre blurring together π€£)
pomegranate / 3192 posts
@starlitsky: I remember reading once that there are seasons that people are more fertile in... I conceived in late sept/early oct (DS), September (m/c) and October (DD) so I feel thatβs true for me. Fingers crossed π€ π€π€

10 dpo - First divergence between oral temping and using my Tempdrop since I began dual temping 20 days ago. My oral BBT is up .06 this morning while my Tempdrop temps fell .09. Who to believe? Hmmm. π€ I've been FF-ing with my Tempdrop so I'm keeping those on my chart, of course.
Speaking of charting, I'm noting that, I believe, it is a catalyst for my anxiety during TTC and, most specifically, during the TWW. I agonize over every dip and drop because I fear it signals AF will soon be arriving. Increased and stable temps do not bear the same weight on my anxiety ... Simply, just lower temps in the middle and towards the end of my cycle cause a tightness in my chest and a feeling of "impending doom." It is stressful as I want to see a possible rise and remain my positive self, but I find I dread seeing a decline nearly as bad as seeing stark white BFNs. #TooInvested #Pathetic #AnxietyStinks #TTC4TooLong #ShouldBeLooking4PatternsNotAtTemps

Caved and tested, I'm glad a did, BFN, so on to next month for me. Just waiting for AF to arrive so I can start a new cycle οΈ

@lioness21: I am glad that you found closure with your BFN! Will you be OV-ing and POAS again in October? Best of luck on your next cycle.

We are 2dp5dt and 9 days post trigger of 10,000u. Was thinking I might not get a negative test before I hit 5-7dp5dt when I would expect a possible BFP but this is next to gone this morning.
