@QBbride: thanks! 🤞 I did acupuncture when I got pregnant with my first two, and who knows if it helped, but I liked it. The acupuncturist I used is actually now also associated with the fertility clinic I go to (which is a ccrm office), so she’s super legit. I think you need to go to someone who specializes in fertility if you end up going.
@yellowbeach: I’ve always found you can’t go by the lines on those, I’d trust your wondfos

@paranundrum: I think O-2 is the best day! I’m kicking myself for not getting O-2, but what can you do. We got O-1 and O (probably O+1 today), but still wish I covered O-2

@foodiebee: @skinnycow: @LAZB: Thanks. I know it's possible in a perfect world, but I would feel so much better if we had had the chance to hit a bit closer to OV too.

@foodiebee: I haven’t been to him yet so I don’t know if I trust him haha. But he’s quite popular in our city. He also offers “community acupuncture” which is a couple minute private consult then you are in a big room with comfy chairs with other people. It’s super cheap compared to regular acupuncture so our benefits will stretch a lot further!! I’ll let you know if I go see him. Where I used to live (much bigger city) there was an acupuncture place that did JUST fertility acupuncture. Any chance there’s a place like that where you live??

@paranundrum: I’ve actually heard O-2 is the best day! Try not to stress about it now, it can’t be changed now!

We only got O-4 this month so I expect the odds are slim to none.

I feel *horrible* today. I'm 3dpt of a 5-day embryo, so it's probably too early for symptoms. I'm attributing all of this to either PIO or AF. My back is killing me (normal AF symptom) and my lunch didn't sit well (not normal). My uterus feels soooo achy. I'm miserable. What can I take that's safe for the embryo? Tylenol?

  12. foodiebee

    kiwi / 662 posts

@yellowbeach: I'm temping but it's probably useless. More out of habit and curiosity than anything else.

  13. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@foodiebee: Tylenol is absolutely safe, and my doctor has told me Motrin is safe before I know I'm pregnant; but some people don't want to risk it.

@yellowbeach: I started temping last cycle, but am only using my normal household thermometer, not a fancy bbt one, and not storing or plotting the data.

@foodiebee: Tylenol is safe, but don’t know if it will help those issues. Hope you feel better!

@Petitduck: you never know, my daughter was conceived on O-4!

@foodiebee: fingers crossed for you!! When will you test?

So weird, I’m having O pains on my right side, but my two follicles are on the left. The us tech said there “wasn’t a lot of action “ going on the right side, but didn’t sound like I had anything over there. I guess hormones just fake you out sometimes 🤷‍♀️ I don’t feel anything at all on the left, although several days ago I had twinges over there, so I guess that was the two growing.

And I should be O+1 today

  20. yellowbeach

Sorry late to the game today... had an US this morning and things looked on track for CD13. Weird thing was my digital OPKs had dropped back down to low this morning after reading high for 3 days, so I'm headed in for another us in the AM. I'm a little nervous though bc I have to bring DD with me (DH is working and I couldn't get last minute childcare on a Sat). I try not to bring her to the RE clinic even though the staff loves seeing their good work bc I know how painful it can be for some women. It is what it is though.

ETA: afternoon digital OPK was back up to high

@yellowbeach: glad you’re on track! Good luck at your appointment!

  22. karenbme

    persimmon / 1419 posts

@LAZB: It’s weird how our bodies can be like that. I only ever feel ovulation pain on my left side, and just thought I was more sensitive there, but when I had my ectopic I felt the ache on the left side even though the pregnancy was on the right. When the doctor found a sac on the right side I even asked her to double check that she wasn’t looking at the left side by mistake. 😂

@yellowbeach: good to hear you’re on track. Maybe you were just better hydrated this morning. 😉

  24. LAZB

    pomegranate / 3904 posts

    @karenbme: that’s so interesting!

  25. yellowbeach

    nectarine / 2648 posts

@karenbme: FYI without getting too complicated, the way your visceral organs are innervated allows a problem in the right (ectopic, appendicitis, ovarian torsion) to present as pain in the left. Not uncommon. Would make sense that ovulatory pain could present on the opposite side too.

  26. foodiebee

    kiwi / 662 posts

@LAZB: Thank you! Feeling better today. Not sure what was going on yesterday.

@QBbride: I think Wednesday, 14 days post trigger. A part of me reeeally wants to POAS at 5dpt (Monday) bc I know some women get a squinter then and I'm impatient, but I'm afraid to get an early negative.

@yellowbeach: The first time we went to the RE, there were two babies in the waiting room. DH whispered to me, "Is this considered good advertising?" And that's fascinating about pain presenting on the opposite side!

  27. yellowbeach

    nectarine / 2648 posts

So mark me down for POAS date of 10/15! Went to my RE this morning for an ultrasound and they liked what they saw, so just took my trigger shot and we have a transfer planned for Friday, our 5 year anniversary for DH and I. I'm hoping that will bring us luck. I'm still on the fence about testing my entire trigger shot out vs just waiting for my beta which should be around 10/15. I'm afraid of another false positive on a FRER... but I also know myself and am likely going to cave and test at home. If that's my reality, I think it'd be a good idea to start POAS tomorrow to test out my trigger (FF even lets you track this) and then I'll know for sure when it's gone. It should have been long gone last month, but I guess it's possible it wasn't since I didn't test it all the way out. I know, I know... PO ALL of the Sticks!

@yellowbeach: Yes! Anniversary luck 😃. And def pee on ALL the sticks!!

  30. LAZB

    pomegranate / 3904 posts

@yellowbeach: even as an avid stick pee-Er, I am not a huge fan of testing out the trigger. I guess I don’t like analyzing if there is still a shadow, and then questioning if it’s just a more sensitive test later on. I think I’ll wait until 14dpt to test, that way it won’t be trigger for sure, but is before my beta.

So I'm going to count today as CD1 because I didn't start until yesterday evening. Mainly because I just realized I wouldn't be able to femara this month is I counted Friday as CD1 because I have to see my doctor by CD3 to start it. Fingers crossed they can squeeze me in on Monday.

@crazydoglady: interesting, he acted like it was a 3-7 thing; maybe it will be a lucky accident and 4-8 will do the trick for me.

@karenbme: yes 🤣 I played it a lot when I was in college and not trying to get pregnant... But it works for the other way too 😂

So, I'm 3 dpo and I'm back. I had my DH change my password during the time I was gone so I couldn't log on. I convinced him I'm ready and won't let the TWW get to me this cycle so he gave me my password. The last couple weeks, I have spent my time focusing on me and trying to "be more relaxed." This cycle - I used my OPKs (thank goodness I did bc I OVed SOOOOOO early!), my tempdrop (which I LOVE ... thank you @badgermom:), and FF. DH and I have been BD-ing for fun. It has been a positive change.

I want to thank all of you ladies for being so supportive. I missed you all. @Sams Mom: & @Yellowbeach: thank you for leaving messages on my wall. It was especially nice to come back to them. @paranundrum: I missed our [morning] conversations. Once again, thank you to all.

    Okay, here we go:

    - Cycle Day: CD 12
    - TTC Cycle: 35-ish (ACTIVELY since February 2016)
    - Ovulation Date: Sept 27 (CD 9 ... so.damn.early but according to FF my chances of pregnancy with an early OV are statistically close to 50% so, I'm "hopeful.")
    - POAS Date: Oct 11
    - Baby #: 3

Anything exciting happening this month: My OBGYN and I had a "frank discussion" and after I requested Femara but he tried to push more Clomid since "I'm not a candidate for Femara" (What does that even mean?!?! He refused to expand. Lol), I asked for other options than to visit and pay him monthly. He is referring me to a RE as I haven't seen one in 2 years. Hopefully, another test on DH's swimmers and a test for ovarian reserve as 2 years have passed and much can change.

Best of luck to all the 🎃 OCTOBER POAS ladies!

@CAT620: Please, add Kaohinani to the board for 10/11. 😉👍 Thank you.

@Sams Mom: I am as well. I needed some "head time" to clear my mind and get back in the TTC game refreshed. I thought of and missed you all (especially you, scarecrow. 😂 ... couldn't help alluding to the Wizard of Oz, there.) I can, honestly, say that I feel better about whether or not #3 happens [for the time being]. It took a ton of convincing for DH to give me the password so I could log in!

    I missed my mini twin
