My child is driving me nuts today... Everything is causing a meltdown, full out on the floor kicking and screaming. I don't even know what to do with him! I just don't think I can make it to nap time!
What do you do when your toddler is super cranky and doesn't want to do anything?

I think last time I had a day like this, I marched straight to the freezer and scooped myself some salted caramel gelato while I ignored my DS's tantrum! Hang in there!

This was us yesterday. I just go do something I need to do and let her cry it out. When she's having one of those days, no amount of trying to talk to her will do and she just needs a good cry. I do continue (once *I've* calmed down) to talk to her and see if she wants to cuddle or do "x", but I tell her she needs to calm down first. And if she doesn't, I start drinking some wine

We have toys that don't come out very often just because they take up so much space (like the cozy coupe) and I tell him when he calms down he can play with his car. He usually calms down pretty quick after hearing that!
And if that doesn't work I find a change of scenery helps so we usually go to the park.

@T-Mom: Mmm... we had no good treats for me to indulge in but it sounds like something I should keep on hand now 
@BabyBoecksMom: I had a hard time letting him just have his tantrum because he reverted back to head banging. Ugh, I thought we were past the self injury a little but it seems to come back on rough days. I did put him in his crib for a little to "chill" with some music and stuffed animals and that helped him relax
