Is this ok for a carseat for a winter baby? I put DS in a fleece zip up (like a northface- but not) in the winter for his carseat. I never had to worry about when he was an infant because he was born in April!
If not this- any other ideas? My due date is 12/13 so it could be freezing!

That's they type of thing DD wore last year (and will hopefully wear again this year.) They are amazing and safe because they aren't bulky.

It's hard to know for sure because I can't tell how thick it is.

It's just one layer of fleece, so it's not crazy warm, but it's definitely car seat safe. We put him in fleece pjs and the bunting and then had a blanket for the car and he was definitely warm and cozy enough!

@cheert16: how long was your DS at birth - it says NB is up to 21 inches - so if you have long babies you may need the 3 month one as well!

@cheert16: my DD was only in NB for 3-4 weeks. so i would go with the 3 month size personally. and then wrap the newbie in other things until it fit. and it may fit out of the gate, just been slightly big!

It is perfectly fine, since it doesn't compress.
Personally, I'd order the 3 month size. Our baby was born in January, and when we were ready to head outside (at about 3 weeks), she was already a bit big for her newborn outdoor clothing.
