DH is home on spring break, so we have 6 days to potty-train DS. He is 2y2m - I know it's early but possible, and I figured let's get in a good attempt now and if it doesn't work out we can try again in June and then again in July. DS has clear bodily signals when he needs to go, and before this he has gone 1-2x on the potty daily with prompting. In terms of communication abilities, he has lots of words and 2-word phrases.

Day 1: 75% accidents
Day 2: A great morning (2 successes, 1 50/50, 1 accident) but bad afternoon/night - all accidents except 1
Day 3: Morning (4 hours so far), he had one little pee and one big pee on the potty, and 1 accident after his big pee - we thought he was all done and weren't watching him carefully.

All 3 poops have been accidents but with predictable timing (after waking). He hides and is dismayed when he poops.

Do you think we should we stick with this? Is there enough glimmers of success? I'm feeling discouraged bc I thought it'd be better by day 3, and I want to get out of the house. I also feel like I ruined DH's spring break
