A few months ago I came across this website, ThredUp. It's basically an online consignment sale. They have clothing for children (from 12mo and up), juniors, and women (including maternity). I have bought stuff a couple of times and it's awesome. I got 3 pairs of pants (2 Gap and a LOFT pair) for $33 - I saved over $85 off of retail!

ThredUp used to be a clothing exchange. Basically, families would advertise a box of clothes (listing out each item, size, color, some even posted pictures) and then you could choose a box and "buy" it (shipping and all!) For $15. I used ThredUp a lot when that was the business model and we got amazing deals! I would spend about $100/year for all of DD's clothes!
They switched the website to this new consignment model maybe a year or so ago, and since then, I've hardly used it. I just don't feel like the value is there; since we have a lot of local consignment stores and because I only shop sales on new items, I freel like they're overpriced. The few times I have bought from ThredUp lately, I wasn't super happy with what I got (one shirt was sized wrong on the website, one pair of pants I ended up finding at a local shop for cheaper, etc...). Idk, I used to love ThredUp, but now I'm not so happy with it.

@Honeybee: I agree. It's kind of overpriced (well, in many cases, anyway).
Also, the payout you get as someone who sells your stuff to them (like me) has been pretty bad, particularly for kids' clothing. The payout is better on higher end brand names though. I received an item that had a ton of loose threads, and I didn't realize that there was a way to provide feedback on the item until it was too late. I am probably going to continue to clean out my own closet using Thredup though. It's just so much easier than eBay or even HB classifieds since you just stuff the bag and send it.
ETA: I did get a really good pair of Gap jeans for my DS though, very gently worn and good price (and free shipping due to an offer) so I was happy with that experience!

We love Moxiejean.com for DS's clothes. We only buy higher end stuff (like Ralph Lauren) that we would never buy full price, or dress coats/clothes that will be worn a few times.
