Has anyone ever used one of the interior design services online? The ones where you tell them the room and dimensions, provide some photos and your design style and they send you a design board and links to purchase all of the items.
I need help with our breakfast area and am thinking about one of these services. Any recommendations for companies to look at?

@mrs.shinerbock: I've never heard of this but it sounds like exactly what I need! I really want to hang photos, gallery wall, etc. But when I imagine hanging things on our walls I feel like it would look out of place. I need someone to tell me exactly where to hang things! Colors of frames, etc. And to pick out some interesting prints to hang, instead of just photos.

Interesting! I have been thinking about hiring someone from Homepolish but I haven't made the leap yet. I also read that West Elm will have free design consultants come out to your house with no obligation to buy.

We have! We used a former WeddingBee blogger who does long distance design. We were so happy with her suggestions and layout that she planned. It was in our previous house, but she planned out our reno, and selected finishes and furniture.

The bloggers at Young House Love used to do this. They sort of shut down their blog so I don't know if they do it anymore.

Potterybarn/west elm do free in home consultations. And no purchase is necessary. They will come out to your house and measure and everything.
