Also--- how have I never heard of these rice snacks?!? I've been dying to find something in the yogurt melt dept with her but hadn't seen any non-dairy versions!!!! Off to see if they exist in Canada!

It's nice to let the parents know about the ingredients! Do your muffins have eggs in them?

@regberadaisy: I only thought of that because there was an egg allergy in DD's class.. I had to write out all the ingredients if I made something home made for the group snack when it was my turn! now the school no longer allows home made baked goods for group snacks, only packaged foods which bums me out.

I think that's really sweet of you to prepare a note and be cognizant of allergies.

I'd not let my son have a muffin though, because they're home baked and unless I personally know you, we don't eat stuff other people make. I am a weirdo though.

@regberadaisy: Agreed! That's why I would skip food all together, it's a touchy subject for some people. I have a while to think about it but for my son's daycare birthday party, I plan to send something non food, like a sticker activity or something along those lines.

I agree with @Dandelion. Looks awesome and very considerate, but I would take away the sad face so people don't feel alienated if they chose that option.

@regberadaisy: Just the back and forth of the note seemed like a lot more work, that's all. How do they handle the other birthday treats? With my older two they either sent the treat home or they had it in class as a snack if nobody was allergic to the ingredients.
