My 18 month old has and likes balls and her basketball hoop, her water table and toys, chalk, a bubble gun, "gardening," a playhouse... I'm sure she'd like a slide but we just go to the playground for that.

My 18 month old loves her water table and play house. Was into slide but not anymore. She just loves playing with water in general. Oh and bubbles. Lots of bubbles.

We have a water table, a Cozy Coupe, a play sink with utensils on top of a cardboard box (it's way smaller than a play kitchen), a kid size Adirondack chair, a blow up pool filled with ball pit balls and a slide that goes right into the pool (and we keep a tarp over it when not in use to keep things clean), and sandbox. DS also loves being hosed down with the hose. We have all this stuff on our patio which we have lined with green AstroTurf rugs to give a little buffer for falls. We have a kid size picnic table en route. Most of this stuff is Step2 brand products, which tend to fold flat when possible for storage and are relatively affordable in price.

It's worth checking local bst pages of you have one near you too. We got a free cozy coupe and a $5 water table last year. Amazon's deal of the day is on some little tikes stuff. There is a gardening table that would make a great inexpensive water table and a fire truck you can ride that squirts water.

We have this tractor that he uses and loves - he rides the tractor and uses the little wagon attachment to gather leaves (such a helpful little buddy!):

We also have a large assortment of balls (he likes to just run and chase them) and he LOVES bubbles. We got this no spill bubble thing from Target and he plays with it everyday:

My 2 year old's favorite things are a play house and little slide. She got the play house at 13mo and has loved it since then. I don't bother moving it for snow. Also, a water table. bubbles and chalk are good. An attachment for a hose that they can play in the water.
