We CD during the day wiht our son and have had to use disposables at night for the very same reason. We first bought a few Itti Bitti CD's ($$$) for overnights but I hated how wet he was in the morning so we switched to disposables. We found the huggies overnights were the only ones he didn't leak out of and we are still using them at 2.5

Are you using the thirsties inserts alone or with other inserts.... because the freetimes has 2 attached "inserts" the thirsties are in addition to that. So she's got like 3 very absorbant layers at night.

The huggies work really well though

Pampers overnights. We leak through everything else too. My daughter is 2 though but bumgenius and thirsties combo didn't work for us either

We use Huggies Overnights with a disposable diaper booster (you can find them on Amazon or Babies R Us). My daughter is a really heavy wetter and that combo keeps her dry all night. Her diaper weighs like 5 pounds in the morning.

@MenagerieMama: You may not need overnights if you size up to the 3's. We've been in 3's for almost 9 months and it's only been in the last two weeks that her diapers are super full in the morning.

@MenagerieMama: We also switched to disposables at night and just used plain Huggies Snug & Dry (not the Overnights) when she was littler. She's now 20 months and we recently had to switch to the actual Huggies Overnights even though she was in the correct size. I liked the Snug & Dry because they are less bulky/plastic-y feeling, but you may need the Overnights! It is so nice not to wake up to leaks!!

We have had a ton of success with huggie overnights now that he is almost 4. As a baby, the seventh gen overnights worked well. But if you and baby are already getting up in the night, I would just change the diaper. We still have to change in the middle of the night once a week and he is dry in the morning most nights. Sometimes he just soaks a diaper.

My dd is a tummy sleeper and we use pampers baby dry and pamper swaddler over it..you can use cloth diaper over overnight diaper.

Seems to depend a lot on the baby's body type. For DS #2 Pampers Overnights or Huggies Overnights are fine. For DS #1 I can't put him in anything but Luvs overnight or he leaks. Of course, this is also the only brand that DS#2 leaks out of. Weird.
