My friend has a LO who is just over a year and in size 3's. She was leaking at night so they put her up to 4's. Now she's leaking through those and 5's are way too big. Any suggestions? She read something about stuffing them (sposies) with cloth or even sanitary napkins? She and I agreed probably not a good idea but she's at a loss right now.

What kind of diapers is she using? We've had really good luck with Pampers Baby Dry 12-hour.

Would she consider using a wool cover? Woolybottoms http://www.woollybottoms.com/ makes a wonderful one, and there are lots of others. Wool has antibacterial properties, it is breathable, and it feels dry to the touch even when damp. It is also incredibly absorbent. You could certainly use a wool cover over a disposable, and if you get one that fits properly it should eliminate leaks for you (even pesky compression leaks!).

My LO is almost 6 months and she is leaking through both Huggies Snug and Dry and Pamper's Baby Dry at night. She fits well in the size 2's but the next pack I buy will be 3's to hopefully combat this. However - if she still leaks through the 3's there is NO WAY she will fit in the next size up, so I would love to know what other people have found that works. -
DS is 13 months and just started leaking at night again. He used to leak through all the time when he was younger, but he was fine for a few months. In tje past I've tried going up a diaper size, using different brands of overnight diapers (Huggies, Pampers, Luvs, and Kirkland brand), and I tried stuffing his diaper with disposable diaper inserts. Nothing worked, and eventually he just grew out of it. Now that he's started leaking again, the only thing that has helped is to limit his liquids before bed. We switched to 6 oz bedtime bottles and I only allow him 4 oz at dinner time and nothing between dinnertime and bedtime. In the mornings, his diaper is still really full, but it only leaks through once or twice a week now.

@Honeybee: good to know. She is still doing a 9oz bottle before bed (I think?) so maybe tapering down a little will help. -
Only Papers Extra Protection works for my son - we tried Baby Dry w/o success. He drinks 6-7 oz before bed and makes it through til morning. His diaper is sopping, but no leaks. Now, anytime he demands any liquids in the middle of the night (or if he moves around a lot...say....if he's sitting/standing/crying in his crib) he might leak still.

@PrettyLizy; The wool should not soak through at all. Rarely clothes may feel slightly damp to the touch, but because of the antimicrobial and antibacterial properties of the wool, they will not be soiled or smell.

@Mrs. Twine: Those sound awesome! We actually use cloth all day but she was getting a diaper rash from the wetness against her skin all night so I switched to disposables. I have been reading upon wool now and am pretty sure I'll be picking up some wool liners/inserts to help make her cloth diapers more absorbent at night without getting crazy bulky!
@winniebee: in the case that the wool addition doesn't work. I'll definitely be picking up some extra protection. Where do you buy them? I don't think I've seen them anywhere. -

@lindseykaye: you could easily use a Flip shell too, I just thought the velcro looked comfier since he tummy sleeps. It's nice because unless we have a leak, it's not any extra laundry like inserts would be.
