Does anyone ever get overwhelmed by overnight guests? My LO is a month old today and we have not spent a weekend alone as a family since her birth. I love all the visitors but I just want to walk around semi dressed and nurse and pump without feeling bad!

Wow that's crazy! Lo is 6 months and the only guest I've had is my mom when hubby was out of town, per my request. I would hate to have all those people there, you feel like you have to entertain them and have bagels and OJ ready every morning, not my idea of fun when you have a newborn!

we only plan to have my mom stay a few days to help us out after the baby is born.. everyone else will just have to do a regular short visit.

Oh yes, I totally understand. In the beginning we had so many people wanting to come visit the baby and it got to the point where I broke down in tears in front of my in-laws because they had showed up unannounced and I was still in pain and exhausted. They got the point after that. Our friends, also, know that I'm not a fan of long visits so they keep them short.
I told the hubs, "We need some family alone time. This weekend let's not have anyone come over." and he was totally game!

I'm dreading this because we live in a tiny 2 bedroom apartment and the only access to the bathroom is through the bedrooms. So it's not like we can have people sleep in the living room, which means the baby will have to be in our room whenever we have overnight guests. I'm sure I will want people to come and stay with us just because I'd be upset if they didn't, but oh man the logistics are going to be a nightmare! If our future baby is anything like me when it comes to sleeping, we will not be happy campers!
