Ds woke up this morning with this all over his stomach and back, and he was super fussy and feeling bad yesterday, but today acts like he feels fine. We have an apt. In 2 hours but I figured in the meantime if y'all would just humor me?

That looks like hives so I would guess an allergic reaction of some sort. He's over 1 right? If so, he should have already had his chicken pox vaccine so I don't think you should worry about that.

Another vote for hives. Chickenpox will be fluid filled and look like blisters or zits.

Yea he's 16 months, so he has been vaccinated, but I know that they can still get certain strands,also whatever it is is spreading, it's almost doubled since I took the pics. @Truth Bombs: @IRunForFun:

Is it only on his trunk? Or does he have it on other parts of his body too?

@IRunForFun: no itching
@MamaG: everywhere but his face
@Mrs. Microscope: we have an app at 11:45

I'm thinking possibly hand foot mouth. My second kiddo had it everywhere. But she also had it on her face.

@Jackiedavis87: Looks like hives to me as well. Keep us posted on what the doc thinks it is!

Well looks like he's allergic to something, most likely a certain aveeno lotion, since that was the only thing I can think of that we did different was the lotion I put on him last night. She said it wasn't a food allergy since he didn't have any reaction around his face or mouth. Thank you all for your support!

@Jackiedavis87: I'm super allergic to lavender so I make sure we don't use any of that calming or bedtime stuff on my boys in case they get hives!

Did he happen to have any hives on his neck? My son's very first food allergy hives were all over his back and neck, not on the face at all. He had just tried peanuts for the first time five minutes before though so it was pretty obvious what caused it. Hoping it was the lotion and don't want to make you worry unnecessarily, just kind of a food allergy psycho over here

@charlotte: they are on his neck and even behind his ears, but the only thing different he ate was orange jello yesterday, so about 2pm, and he's had oranges before.

I first got my food allergy by getting sap from the plant on my skin and I had hives for like a month. Weird that it happened right when he was sick though. Hope he is doing better today!
