Did you prefer to wear full panel maternity pants, regular sweat/yoga pants, or maternity pants that weren't full panel right after your section? Or other kind? I'm trying to figure out what to pack for the hospital.

I kept wearing my full-panel maternity pants.
I had packed my maternity yoga pants to wear home from the hospital, and they were actually tighter after the c section than before because I was so swollen from all of the fluids! It was a few weeks before my regular yoga pants fit well.

It was late summer/early fall, so I refused to wear pants. ha. I would wear maxi dresses or full panel leggings.

Full panel maternity or foldover yoga pants. I needed something that didn't sit low, but also offered some support to that area.

Ok! I'll make sure to pack some full panels! I had a feeling this would be the winning answer, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something, lol.

I wore fitted yoga pants with a Bella band over top...it felt good to have the extra support over my incision.

Full panels or nothing that was too right. It hurts to have pants did in!

I wore my regular yoga pants, but I wore a c-section support band underneath.

I didn't like anything touching it at all - I had staples in the incision - so I wore dresses.

The foldover yoga pants for sure, I wore the same 2 pairs for weeks afterwards. I also wore one of those abdominal binders (which helped so much, ask for one at the hospital!!!) so the foldover pants were stretchy enough for me to wear it as well. My maternity pants had a low seam where the panel started that was right where my incision was so I couldn't wear them at all.

I honestly mostly wore sweats or a nightgown and if I actually left the house I wore either a dress or full panel jeans.

My sister tells all expectant moms to take a dress to the hospital in the event of a c section!

Full panel stretchy pants. I also wore a maxi dress most of the time.

Full panel leggings for me, and full panel jeans + a belly band leaving the hospital. They encouraged lots of airing of the incision, though, so at home it's panties and a robe.

Full panel yoga pants. And giant maternity undies for several weeks after - underwear that sat under my belly during pregnancy rubbed against my scar while it was healing.

Just FYI I liked pants better than a dress because it gave me some support. I had staples, but my pants and underwear didn't irritate them when they were high waisted.

I wore yoga pants home from the hospital and yoga or whatever gym pants I had. My incision wasn't painful, just sensitive, like a sunburn. The only thing I couldn't wear was jeans.

@singingbee: yeah I was thinking that the support of the full panel is probably pretty nice.
