When you go shopping do you use paper, plastic, or reusable bags? We try to use reusable bags, but don't have very many. We do get the plastic bags and reuse them around the house in our little garbage cans (bathroom, bedroom, etc).

We use the plastic bags and re-use them for cat litter, bathroom trash, taking things to other peoples houses, dirty diapers etc...I love being able to re-use them.

Reusable for groceries. I'll often not take a bag from a store too if I already have a bag I can fit the item(s) in. Still, I have TONS of plastic bags that I can never seem to finish using and donate them when I can.

I never remember to bring in the reusable bags, but I reuse all the plastic bags for trash bags, and the paper ones for my paper recycle.

reusable all the way if I forget reusables, I use paper instead. I am very against plastic after learning about it's aftermath in my public issues class!

I usually forget the reusable bags, and usually forget to ask for paper (which we use more in our house), so plastic it is!

Usually reusable, especially since you have to at most stores around here unless you want to pay for a bag. My local grocery store still offers plastic, so I use them sometimes because I like to reuse them around the house.

Reusable always for groceries and bigger shopping (hello Target), and for smaller stops I'll often carry items by hand if I don't have bags with me and am going straight back to the car. Plastic makes me crazy!

Usually paper bags. When I go to publix they give me plastic.

Depends on where I shop at. If I shop at Aldi, I bring my own reusable bags because they don't provide bags. Elsewhere, I just get the plastic bag provided by the store. We do reuse those bags though as trash bags for small trash cans or as storage bags for transporting items.

@Boogs: I just have never gotten into it. I do use reusable cups at work sometimes but I guess I just don't pay attention to that stuff.

I have reusable. I've collected a lot so I have enough to use all the time. I don't use them at like, Target so I have some plastic bags that I keep to reuse for tying up food garbage etc. I also have reusable produce bags!

Reusable for groceries, plastic for everything else because I forget to take one in.

We usually get plastic, or if it's small I ask for no bag and just use my purse. I wish I could remember to bring reusable bags!

Reusable. Unless we're running out of doggy poo bags, then plastic.

Plastic, but we always save them and use them for other stuff. We have a ton of reusable bags at home but I use them to take stuff to work/pack stuff for the dog/etc. We don't usually use them for groceries. (Reusable bags at the grocery store gross me out. I don't know where your bag has been. And then my food just touched the same conveyor belt as your dirty bag)

Our stores don't give out plastic bags, but you can purchase them there. We almost always use reusable bags...if we forget, we load the cart directly into our car!
I'm in support of cities banning the use of plastic bags.

We try to use reusable bags as often as possible. We will use plastic if we forget but I always reuse them in trash cans or to pick up dog poop.

You have to buy the bags here. So you have the option of picking how many use want to use. The options are paper, plastic, and a thick reusable one with the shop's logo. People usually bring their own plastic bags. But we like to buy them and use them for trash bags. There's no waste since everyone pays for them!

Always reusable. You can cram a lot more into a reusable bag, which means fewer trips from the car to the kitchen.

You can't get paper bags here so it's plastic or re-useable. We've got so many re-useable bags - in the house, in the cars - but do we ever remember to take them into the shop? Do we heck!!! So plastic bags it is every.single.time! I always use the plastic bag afterwards though - as poop scoop bags when I walk the dogs!

Reusable, then plastic, which we reuse as garbage can liners or to clean up after the dog.

We get plastic and reuse them at home as well. It doesn't take us long to go through them all!
