At the hospital where LO was born they dont use disposable wipes, instead they use some type of soft paper towel with warm water. at home I usually use a cloth wipe with warm water ( after using a disposable wipe) I am going on a trip next week and dont want to carry all the cloth wipes with me. I want to use a paper towel type thing with warm water that Ic an just throw away,but I cant find any paper towel that is similar to what the hosptal used. Is it weird to use something like bounty or vanity fair?

We used these when DD was a newborn.
Some parents use Viva paper towels and make their own solution or water.

I don't think that's weird at all. Bounty is pretty soft. I have this tutorial bookmarked for making homemade baby wipes from paper towels and the woman says she likes to use Viva. http://www.homemademamas.net/2010/07/homemade-baby-wipes.html

I was just about to say that we have Viva, just for regular use, not baby, and they are pretty soft so that might be what you are thinking of. I use them to blow my nose sometimes, if that helps

Yes, I think Viva would be good - we've used both Viva & Bounty around the house, and I found Viva to be much softer and cloth-like, whereas Bounty tends to be rougher.
