When LO first started daycare the rule was to remove shoes or wear booties over your shoes before entering the infant rooms. Socks and bare feet were acceptable. Now, you must wear booties over bare feet, socks or shoes. I get it, it's more hygienic. It's also very inconvenient and as much as I would love to just slip off my shoes and go that isn't the set up anymore. Today, I saw one of the infant parents walk in to the DCP wearing well-worn booties and go straight to the infant room. The booties are blue and this dad's bottom were brown and had debris stuck to it. I said something to one of the co-directors and she shook her head because she noticed him pushing the rule too.

Now what? What have you all done in similar situations?
