We still rock her to sleep at 18 mths old! It doesn't take her long to fall asleep so we will stick with it until it stops working.

D'aaaaw! I'm so jealous!! E has NEVER let me rock her to sleep, even when she was an itty bitty newborn. She has always valued her own space.. and now prefers to stand up and scream herself to sleep! But this morning, she sat on my lap for her bottle.... and I melted! I want toddler snuggles, darn it!!

Still occasionally nursing to sleep at 21 months over here and part time bed-sharing to boot (don't tell the parenting police that I love me some baby snuggles!)

@rahlyrah: My LO is 22 months and rocking is a part of her routine for both bedtime and naps. Once we get into the nursery, I hold her in the glider and rock her while her seahorse plays one round of songs (about 5-6 minutes). Then I put her in her crib to sleep. Sometimes she is wide awake, and sometimes she conks out before the seahorse has finished playing. It totally works for us - it's super easy, doesn't take a lot of time, and is a great way to end the day. We used to rock her longer (usually 2-3 cycles of the seahorse) when she was younger, but we gradually worked down to one cycle tops (just like what @Smurfette: described) , and as another most likely one and done-r, I am keeping the snuggles for as long as I can!
