My LO is due soon and I don't return to work until April.
We plan on using the boxes of newborn/size 1 disposable diapers we received as gifts before we start with cloth....and have LO use disposable diapers only when at daycare(cloth is not allowed) and other special situations.
A few of my mom friends have asked me why I want to bother since it will be only be part time. I feel like if I can save a little on diapers costs and help the environment....it will be worth it to use cloth part time.
Are there any part time users out there with any advice?
You do what you feel is best. Baby Bear wears disposables at daycare only. Some say it's a waste & I almost listened but remembered Papa Bear and I are the ones buying diapers, no one is chipping in! I bought several sizes of disposables for her and stashed til she got here. (I clip coupons & just got a jumbo pack of huggies for $4 at CVS). I NEVER pay full price. As you can tell, cost is my mojo for cloth.LMBO! Anywho, do what's best for you. People are gonna tell you what to do now, but it's always what's best for THEIR family, you do it for yours.
