Does anyone use cloth diapers part-time?
LO is 16 months and we have used disposables for all of her life. Prior to her birth I wanted to use cloth diapers and bought some on sale, this is when we had hoped to move to an apartment with a washer/dryer but that didn't pan out. We do live in a building that has a laundry room.
The cloth diapers have been collecting dust. I am thinking about trying to use them just when she's at home, so in the evenings and on the weekends and continuing disposables at childcare because it's the easiest thing (our nanny share family uses cloth sometimes and our nanny really hates them so they stopped).
So basically LO would be in a cloth diaper for overnight and then on the weekends. Since I have no actual experience using cloth yet, I'm wondering if what I have will work for overnight. I don't want to buy anything new! Please let me know if you think any of these will work for overnight. LO normally just pees overnight. She's normally awake when she takes her morning poop, I think I can catch her before she goes in the diaper.
This is what I have:
-A blueberry minky that comes with two microfiber inserts: one small and one that is large and can be doubled over.
-2 econobum diaper covers with 6 cotton prefolds
-2 flip covers with 6 flip inserts
Do you think any of this will work for overnight?
