Oof. You'll be crying at work, warning.
So good to get the partner's side of it, and always good to promote awareness of miscarriage

Wow, heartbreaking. I know my DH was so sad but stayed strong for me. He did cry with me a little but mostly kept his feelings to himself.

This is heartbreaking/heartwarming at the smae time!
My DH is super supportive and is my rock, but I truly will never forget his face when I told him our 2nd IUI was too following the same path as the first.......dropping beta # and it was CP again at 5 weeks...he looked defeated and just so sad
Prayers to all suffering now, past or future!

brings back the feelings reading this - the best thing a woman can having is a man by her side to feel those feelings with her! It's too lonely of a place to walk alone.

This is the one that got to me the most:
"You just watch as she was taken down the corridor through the ward doors, just sit and think about how she must be feeling and what should have been the best year of our lives. I would have done anything, I would still do anything to take that pain away from my wife, my best friend."
I always try to make sure my DH is allowed his "own" feelings as well, but I know a big part of it is him worrying about me. It breaks my heart that he's been through this 3 times, plus any other procedures and stuff that I've had to do. I know he must feel helpless sometimes. But he's a great husband and I'm so lucky to have him.

@TheSwissWifeStyle: I agree, that quote got me too.
Unfortunately my DH missed the doctors appointments both times when we found the news. So I know the hardest part was sending me off to surgery.

@T.H.O.U.: That must have been hard for you though, finding out without him there.

@runnerd: Doesn't have to be a man! I know what you mean, though.
Miscarriage is so often swept under the rug, and I think this is even more so the case with partners who are going through the experience. Very sad.

This brought back so many feelings and emotions. It's so true - "You never forget, you just have to learn to cope".

@swedishfish: @FaithFertility: @runnerd: @TheSwissWifeStyle: @T.H.O.U.: @PermaStudent: @littleveesmommy: I'm happy that it spoke to you all, although I'm sorry for resurfacing feelings my husband watched me give birth to our LO at 20 weeks (who didn't survive) and he was pretty traumatised by it. I think that because I had to do it, I had to cut off feeling from it a bit but he felt it all and it was pretty horrific. Such a very sad experience to have to have (all of your experiences, and all of those who have to go through anything like this)

@imbali: oh that's terrible. I'm so sorry that you and your husband lost your LO and had to go through that.

makes me cry, I've never experienced this and I really hope I never have too. Watching both my sisters go through them was hard enough on me.
