LO wants a Lady and the Tramp theme party for her 3rd birthday. The party will be at our house and so far I have these very basic ideas:

-maybe a bounce house (it was a hit at LO 2's first bday party!)

-A table for coloring and crafts. I hope I can find some free Lady and the Tramp coloring sheets online

-I guess I need to serve spaghetti? It sounds messy for the mostly 3 year old crowd. :wink:

-dog themed stuff for favor bags

Would you change the spelling on the invite (from an Etsy seller) to party or leave it as PAWTY? Made up words drive me a little crazy but maybe I need to relax.

Do you remember Lady and the Tramp? Do you have any other suggestions for a home party? I saw a few things on Pinterest but most of the links were dead.

Cute idea! I still love this movie.

Could you do noodles in butter sauce? Same affect but less messy!

@autumnlove: omg soooo cute!! I would definitely use pawty! What about mini meatballs as snacks? You have to serve spaghetti! What about plastic restaurant grade bibs as favors??

Love the movie! I'm not feeling pawty, I'm expecting a puppy party.

Instead of full on spaghetti, what about just serving meatballs?

haha took me a little to get PAWTY, maybe if you had them write PAWty? For some reason I thought you spelled Panty wrong LOL

I love the ideas of milkbone shaped cookies

Add some checkered table cloths and breadsticks to your tables.

If its within your budget I would get a cute little stuff dog for each guest. We recently went to a mexcian themed party and the host gave out burros and DD loved her's she named it Donkey Donkey and giggles every time she says it. you can put the dogs in a basket like in the end of the movie

I like pawty!

For a favor, what about having a little "pound" where the party guests can adopt a puppy? Buy some cheap stuffed puppies, put them in a basket, then put up an "adopt a puppy" sign. Maybe print some little certificates so the kids can name their new puppies. Then put out some little bags for their puppies and adoption certificates.

Spaghetti cupcakes would be cute and less messy than actual spaghetti!

I like the noodles with butter (and maybe meatballs) idea better than tomato sauce. I made this with my friend's kids for halloween and it was fun and they loved it.

Just make sure you rinse the noodles well to get all the extra food coloring off.

For favors, you could buy or make puppy ears (cut out felt on headbands) and the kids could pretend to be puppies.

@autumnlove: adorable theme!!!

For the spaghetti, bake it in individual portions via a muffin tin (mini or regular). Might cut down on the mess a little. (Pinterest gets credit for this idea of course).

I went to a doggie themed party many years ago and they decorated with paw prints on the floor (just paper cut outs) and I thought it was adorable!

Thanks for the ideas!! I forgot to mention her preference for ice cream.....maybe I can pre-scoop some into paper cups and have a little sprinkle & topping area?

Super cute idea. But I did think Pawty meant a pet's party before I clicked haha. It wasn't confusing in that invitation though.

How is the party planning going? Did u come up with any favors? I have a Pinterest board on princess and puppies, a somewhat Palace Pets theme. I am having trouble with favors for 4 year olds aside from a stuffed dog. Would love ideas. So far I have mini m and m cylinders that I will rename Doggie Treats although I think chocolate is bad for dogs so now I may nix it.

ETA: *I've just decided to give a dog related book as the main favor.

@808love: you can package it with a personalized doggy "bone" book mark.
