If you had PCOS and were lucky enough to conceive a baby; what did birth control & trying for #2 look like for you? What did you use for birth control, how long, was your ob/RE ok with no birth control, how long did you go between BC & actively TTC, what did you do to TTC #2, etc?
My story: I have PCOS & DH has low morph. Thanks to Clomid, metformin, and progesterone, I got pregnant with a sticky baby who was born on Jan 27 and he is one of the biggest lights of my life. I love him so much that I am already excited about a hopeful #2 and multiplying our love exponentially, as if that's possible!
Anyway, I'm starting BCP in August probably since LO will be 6 months and thus nursing + an occasional condom will not be as effective. I know the chances are small but it's technically possible, so I want to actively prevent. In Feb 2017 I plan to wean off nursing & end BCP, and possibly start metformin. Then in May 2017 I hope to start a Clomid cycle.
I don't know if my OB will like my Feb-April plan of no "hormones" bc he believes PCOS raises your risk of reproductive cancer if it is not controlled via BCP, pregnancy, or nursing.
