Which fruit would you choose?
I don't like the fuzz on peaches so I'm a nectarine kind of girl!

Nectarine. Peaches make my tongue itch. I do like them peeled. though.

White nectarines! I don't mind peaches but they have to be firm...no mushy spots!

Exactly! I would much rather eat a nectarine, white or yellow, than a peach due to the fuzz.

Nectarines! I love peaches only when they're super ripe and soft but I will eat a nectarine even if it's rock hard.

white peaches! the only prob is peaches are on the dirty dozen, and you can almost never find them organic!

Peaches! (I do live in Georgia, after all!) But I wouldn't kick a nectarine out of bed (so to speak) either!

I know it's not an option - but I like plums best!! Otherwise the other two are equally tied!

I love nectarines for eating fresh, but prefer peaches for baking (since I would be peeling either fruit anyways).

@JessLC: For tart, sour fruit, or fruit just not sweet enough, I sprinkle a little salt. I've done this for watermelon and granny smith apples. You could try it and see if it helps.

@bluestriped bee: ooh I never heard of that! I will def try it out tomorrow...and its certainly way easier than making a jam or grilling them which is the first thing people suggest. Thanks!!

Peaches - but they seem to be grown locally more than nectarines. I'm in central pa. If I eat them whole, I just wash them - if I eat them in something else - i just had oatmeal with a peach and raspberries in it for breakfast- then I peel them.
