I want to do some kind photo christmas present for our parents. Our siblings already do calendars with their kids so I'd like to find a different idea. Maybe a mug?
Anyone have good ideas for neat or unusual photo gifts?

We are doing calendars for DH's parents and grandmother, since C is the only grandchild (or greatgrandchild) on that side. My parents have 3 grandchildren, C plus my brother and my sister each have one. So I feel like doing one calendar with just C would be weird.
I think a photo book is always nice. Anything that you only have one of, I feel like you need to include all the grandkids. My sister makes a calendar of her son but will include the others if we send photos.

@Foodnerd81: I agree with just doing a calendar with just your own kids is weird. I considered asking my sister to combine photos for my parents. But DH's siblings each do their own (so my in-laws have three calendars hanging side by side in the kitchen). It's so weird and my SIL even complained one time about another family's calendar getting "higher billing" on the wall.

@Little Misters Mom: Haha that's a little extreme! Combining makes a lot more sense. I am making ours on Mixbook, and you can actually collaborate, so, say you took the even months and your sibling took the odd months, you could both work on it separately then review it and order just the one. Or hang them side by side, whatever.

Do your parents work at a desk job? Maybe a small desk calendar or appointment book? I would add pictures off all the grandkids with maybe just a little bit extra of my kid with the grandparents
Im making a desk calendar for my dad since he loves showing off the grandkids at work. I know shutterfly will put a picture on just about anything...I would browse there good luck -
@Foodnerd81: @Anya: I'm glad other people think it's strange as well. DH doesn't think there is anything weird about it. I really like the christmas ornament idea!
@hellocupcake: I like the desk calendar for my parents (who still work) but in-laws are retired. But yes, the whole idea is something to let them brag with.

@Little Misters Mom: We do photo magnets for the fridge for the great grandparents, might be nice in combo with something smaller like an ornament or mug. I did a mug for my moms birthday this year and she liked it!

Mosaic book? You can make it from your phone and they are pretty inexpensive and have a really nice design. I think that is what we're going to do.
