DH is crazy and thinks I'm a skilled photographer. So he offered my "services" to one of his BFF's who is starting a new career as a realtor. I will be taking a headshot for his business cards tomorrow.
HELP!
I have a Canon Rebel XT but am really really really out of touch with how to use it. Any setting suggestions? I want to try shooting outside for better light, but it also might snow tomorrow! 
Also, my subject is incredibly goofy so getting him to sit still and not crack a joke for two seconds will be interesting!! 
And my assistant for the shoot will be a needy 9 month old!

if you can't get outside, go by a plain wall next to a large window to get as much natural light as you can! even outside, don't go in direct sun. if you have a white foamboard or even a large white sheet to hang up to reflect that light on the other side, you'll get more even lighting instead of shadows on the one side of the face.
what lens do you have? if you can open up to 2.8 or 3.2, that's great. don't have too slow of a shutter speed (faster than 1/125 should be okay) or you'll have motion blur.
