DS is older, but he plays in the front yard, and the dogs go in the back. We go around the backyard about once a week and clean up. They just generally don't play in the same area outside.

I don't usually have this problem (my dog refuses to go in the backyard), but if she does go back there, we pick it up immediately. She goes on walks, so we're in the habit of having a poop bag with us anyway.

Our dog doesn't like to poo or pee in our backyard, only on walks.

DH does it every time he mows the yard, so pretty much weekly. We are considering doing what our neighbor did though, and making a dog run portion of our yard.

We put in a dog poop compost because the thought of throwing poop into a landfill seems wrong to me. We have 2 big dogs so we go through the yard a few times a week and pick up the poop and put it in the compost. If you do it somewhat frequently it doesn't take very long.

Lol, not nearly as often as everyone here, once a month at the most. We have one dog, a big yard, and a very dry environment, so it dries out quickly. It has never been a problem with our little guy running around outside, he's never shown interest in it. Also our dog gets regular fecals, so we know he's worm free.
