We arranged a play date with our neighbours this weekend, and not sure what time to have them over. What would be a reasonable time? 9:30am? 10am? The kids are the same age (18 months) so i'm hoping naps are around the same time.

I usually go with the afternoon, post-nap. My toddler is usually up by 230PM, so if I schedule something, it's for around 3PM so she has time for a quick snack.
If it has to be in the morning, I'd go for 10AM. That way, she can get a couple hours of playing in before her noon nap.

We were just invited to a play date at 9:30am at a playground. A bit early, but we're usually out and about by then anyways.

I'd lean more towards an afternoon play date too (usually around 3:30) but if it needs to be in the morning I'd say 9:30-10am.

We always do morning play dates around 9:30. Almost all of us can count on the kids being awake and ready to play by then. Then we feed them snacks together and either head home separately for lunch; do a potluck lunch; or we take turns hosting brunch/lunch
We rarely do afternoon play dates now that my LO is almost 23 months bc she naps from 2:00-4:30...we use that time for running errands before dinner or a quick trip to the park/grandparents
