I just texted my friend and asked if we were still planning on going to the park with our LO's today and she said yes but asked if it would be okay if her friend, DH's ex, comes along with her niece?! This ex really isn't someone I want to hang out with. If I was 25 pounds lighter and spent all morning getting ready, I might consider it. Blech! What would you say?!

Does she know that this friend is your DH's ex? If so I can't imagine why she would put you in that position!
I would go, but maybe just put in a touch of extra effort getting ready. In the end you got the prize, and she didn't, so you have nothing to prove to her.

@HeatherlovesKenny: I agree with Mr. Bee that you shouldn't feel badly or embarrassed by not wanting to hang out with your husband's ex! Also... WHY does this woman need to be invited if she doesn't even have her own child? Is she using her neice as an excuse to try to hang out with you and your friends? I'm probably reading too far into it because my husband has a creepy stalker ex but it seems weird to me.

I wouldn't go. I'm a selfish person, so I wouldn't be worried about "being the bigger person" or what not, I just wouldn't want to waste any of my "friend"/out of the house time on something that won't be enjoyable. Blah.

Meh- I don't know that it would bother me a ton, but DH and I have been together for almost 10 years so any of his ex's are so far ex-out I wouldn't care. But I also have a pretty high self esteem so that might be a factor.

@Coco Bee: you're so sweet! I probably would have went if this girl had her own children but she has no idea what it means to wear spit up or skip a shower because you can't put your baby down! And I know she would have been judgemental if she saw how I am now compared to what I use to be. But hey, it did give me motivation to go for a run and eat healthy today!
