There are sooooo many options! I am trying to narrow down my choices . . . can you tell me: What do you have? Do you like it? Do you wish you had bought something else? Anything else that may be useful? We don't have any space/budget issues (although I don't want to shell out $500 bucks for this thing . . . I think $200 would be enough?)

We're getting the KidKraft Grand Corner Kitchen. It's about $165 and comes with a few pans and utensils.
They make it in pink and espresso. We havent decided which color yet, leaning espresso.

We went for this one. Cute, stylish, and not massive. I didn't want a corner one because I feel like there are less places to put it. We haven't used it yet though since it's a Christmas present. But Mrs Yoyo highly recommended it to me.
I really wanted a PB Kids kitchen but even though we technically could afford it, I just couldn't fathom paying that much money for a toy. I feel like for $299 the damn oven should cook me cupcakes!

@looch: @MamaMoose: I love the PBK kitchens, but yeah, the price is hard to swallow for a toy (if it had an *easybake* function, I would have it in the mail already!). . . And chances are, LO is it, so there (likely) won't be any siblings to get more use out of it.

It wasn't my first choice, but it was a gift from the grandparents so I'm happy!
LO loves it and plays w/it multiple times a day.We bought the Learning Resources New Sprouts breakfast/lunch/dinner play food set (I think it came with 50 pieces of play food), KidKraft utensils set (came with utensils, cups, plates, bowls), and a stainless steel pot and pan set from Costco. I think Santa might bring some Melissa & Doug wooden play food this Christmas.

Love the Uptown Espresso. It's big but not too big, modern and gender neutral. We have wooden Melissa and Doug play food and pots. But beware that the paint chips. And it can leave marks on your wall. The red pots are particularly evil.

We got the Kidkraft Modern Country kitchen. I love the look, but it's ultra girly. I kind of wish they had it in another accent color other than pink. Installation was a nightmare! The holes didn't align and some were drilled too big for the hole. DH broke a saw blade trying to rig new screws and it was missing a few pieces. BUT. This is a big but ... Kidkraft replaced the whole thing! As in they sent us a whole new kitchen O_O.
I do not regret our purchase at all. But if they only replaced the parts missing (what I requested), then I'd be pining for the retro kitchen from PBK -- that's very similar to the Kidkraft retro (2 separate pieces).

I like that it comes with accessories versus having to purchase more. I like the pull away cart, too. A negative review noted "lack of counter space" but I struggle getting hung up on that, ha!
I like both of the KidKraft Expresso ones (corner or regular, we have space either way) but the increased price and need to purchase accessories. The two options are less then $10 apart so part of me thinks might as well get the corner one, but $50 more then LT + cost of accessories.
I get it's wood, and not plastic, but do I really care? I'm not sure I do, but perhaps I am missing something and that's why places like HB are awesome!!

Grammie gifted him the kidkraft cook together kitchen for Christmas - she also got some wooden play food and pots and pans. I like the style and that is has a few extras...haven't put it together yet, will do that this weekend.

@mediagirl: I didn't even think about putting it in our kitchen! The only spot we'd have space is out eating area off the kitchen, far enough away and sort of "tucked" away so it wouldn't matter. I was thinking it would be a livingroom or eventual basement thing. Hmm, thanks for the tip! I think I am going to go with it, to atleast ensure it's here no prob timewise for Christmas and if I change my mind, well....I can deal with it then? Haha.

We got the PBK kitchen set during a big sale - 20% off and free shipping. I like that it's well made and super sturdy and easy to assemble. We plan to have 2 kids so hopefully it will get a lot of use.
I do wish it had more bells and whistles but I guess she just has to use her imagination - we did find a whistling tea kettle, espresso machine and toaster at Costco that she can press buttons and make noises.
The best thing I like about the PBK set is that it has sooooo much storage so you can put away and hide all the play kitchen stuff. I try to minimize the clutter in our playroom and everything has a place so she knows how to clean up....I love that I just put it away inside the play kitchen. We got our pots/pans from IKEA and our felt food too...love it! The fruit/fish has Velcro. We also have some Melissa and Doug sets (the Velcro fruit/veggies is awesome and does feel like your cutting through it). Finally, we have two sets of the food baskets (comes with desserts, fruit/veggies, drinks, bowls/cereal, chicken, eggs, etc)...I love the baskets bc I can contain the clutter!

We have the kidcradt vintage kitchen. I love it bx it's small and doesn't take up a lot of room but has a bunch of doors and compartments to store things in. Also love the look of it! P is 16 months and loves.it and so do my nieces who are 5&6.
we also have the pot / utensil set.
