Do any of you ladies pump into playtex drop-ins?
How do you store them in the fridge/freezer? Do you have to store them in bottles, or is there some system to seal them/hold them up in the fridge or freezer just as those bags with some kind of lid?
The drop ins seem so convenient, but I can't figure out if they work with pumping...

I'm not sure they work for pumping.
I purchased Nuk ziploc bags and would dump the milk in there.
Once I would unfreeze the milk, I'd put it in a drop in and heat up the bottle.

@pastemoo: @blushink: There's a kit that allows you to pump directly into the drop-ins... I used it for a while with my second baby...They are compatible with most pumps. I used it with my Medela Freestyle no problem!

@blushink: I had no clue either and wish I knew for my first baby! It's nice not to have to pour the milk. Of course, I didn't pump much for second baby because nursing was just more efficient, but the kit worked out great for the few months I used it.

Someone got me the system but it was not compatible with my pump. I was bummed, but I just store my milk in the lansinoh bags and pour into the drop in.

The irritating thing about the drop ins, is its hard to tell exactly how much milk is in there

@NYCaliMama: FANTASTIC! Thanks! I got the newborn kit that has 4 bottles and says it can attach to many kinds of pumps, but I just coudln't figure out how it worked.

I don't have a pump yet, so I figure I can get one that;s compatible.
@Mrsbells: My friend said that, too, but she was more interested in the cleaning aspect and said it was worth it just for that. I guess I'll see in a few weeks.

I pumped into medela bottles, which I then poured into drop-ins when it was time to feed. I also used them to measure into freezer storage bags. For me it was just easier and less messy to pump directly into bottles and then use the bottles to measure.

@mrs. wagon: This is exactly what I do except I use use the Playtex VentAire wide mouth because I didn't like that I was just making more trash with drop-ins.
I also produce about 6oz extra each day and use Honeysuckle brand freezer bags. I don't think drop-in bags are meant to be frozen.

My box for drop ins says I can freeze them, but not boil them.
