I want to get a potty for LO or a seat for the toilet. Which one do you use? Do you like it?

We use the Baby Bjorn potty. LO is still in diapers but we keep the potty where he can see it and try it from time to time. The big selling point for me was that you can remove the part that catches the waste and easily wash it instead of trying to wash the entire potty.

I want to get the Baby Bjorn toilet trainer.... we got the potty chair but I just couldn't get into using it b/c I really don't want to clean it out! lol I figure she's going to be using the big potty so that's what she should learn on!

We have the baby Bjorn potty chair. We started using it for EC when DS was 2 months old and love it! My mom also has one for when she watches LO.

It works great and I loved the price

We have a potty trainer/adapter for each potty - a baby bjorn one and just one that I picked up from the grocery store that's got a bit of cushion to it. I've never noticed her having a preference or any advantage to the more expensive price tag of the bjorn though.

Another vote for the Bjorn potty chair. If you're looking for a potty seat, I'd also recommend the Bjorn seat. We tried a cheap character seat from Walmart and it doesn't fit snugly into the toilet, so DD can't use it by herself.

Thanks everyone, yes I prefer the seat that goes on the toilet because that way we dont have to transition from potty to toilet.
Has anyone tried the Prince Lionheart weepod? It has pretty good reviews on amazon

@littlek: I need the seat for right away my daughter is 12 months & 3 weeks and for over a month she refuses to poop in her diaper I have to hold her over the toilet so I just want a seat so she can sit more comfortably..

We used both a little potty (Prince Lionhart potty pod) for training in general like during the day so it can stay close to him and during night so we could stay close to bed and not have to go into the bathroom with bright lights and we used the toilet seat insert (Prince Lionheart wee pod) for learning on the big potty. We like both as they are softer on the bottom. The prince lionheart wee pod almost didn't extend far enough to "fit" our toilet seat but it managed to work. It does require cleaning as in taking it apart completely (which isn't hard) but that is to be expected. I wish the splash shield were a bit more shielding but that is part of teaching a boy to hold his penis down.

@pelikila: thanks for that information! That helps... I have realized by looking on google that there are two weepods. there is the basic one which is just one piece and then there is the regular slightly more expensive one that has a white base and a color top

@Mrsbells: We have the slightly more expensive one that is two parts, white base, color top.

Just as an update
I went ahead and bought the Prince Lionheart weepod Basix from target yesterday and I like it. It is simple, very cushioney like a bumbo seat almost. Lo pooped on the toilet the very first time we used this seat. She likes sitting on it. It attaches to the seat with suction pads
