just waiting to confirm O, although I'm thinking it should be today. it's our two year anniversary today, so we're headed out of town. i'm in the "drink til it's pink" camp, so i'm going to enjoy some wine, but won't have too much either. DH is excited since this is our first month TTC, but i've tried to instill in him that it might not happen right away. how are you ladies doing?

I'm 8 DPO, but not too hopeful for this cycle. We unfortunately found out that DH's SA showed low morphology and I have some "questionable" issues with my right tube. We're headed to the fertility specialist soon (once insurance is sorted out) to hopefully get some advice on how to proceed. In the meantime, we'll keep trying the old-fashioned way :).

@GreenThumb: So sorry to hear that! Hopefully you'll get some good advice that won't be too expensive! And you never know, maybe the old-fashioned way will still work for you! Good luck!

@Adira: Thanks. The best news we've received recently is that our insurance is really good, so hopefully we won't have to consider expense too much when trying to get pregnant!

@GreenThumb: low morphology here too! here's hoping we all have good luck!

@eastcoaster: Have you been given any advice on how to deal with low morphology or how improve it? So far, we were just told that DH should add a multivitamin. Have you been advised that you might need IVF?

  7. eastcoaster

@GreenThumb: since we haven't been trying too long yet (haven't hit 6 months), this is what we've been told so far:
    - take vitamin
    - no smoking (wasn't an issue to begin with)
    - limit alcohol consumption to 2-3 per week
    - BD every other day (and if we don't BD, DH should release his S through another method, continuing the every other day, this keeps the S "fresh")

ETA: You might be wondering how we know his SA if we haven't been trying that long yet. And we found out bc DH was having health issues with something else (not realted to baby making), had lots of blood work done, which resulted in lot Testorone, which lead to seeing a RE and have the SA done.

So I have been feeling pretty crappy this past week. It was like the worst PMS I've ever had. I was a day late this morning and decided to POAS....well....turns out I'm pregnant. BFP!! Yay!!

@littlehunny: OMG that's fantastic! Congratulations! I was just wondering if we would have any BFPs on this thread this time.

    @littlehunny: yay!!! Congrats

I'm still waiting to O. Its CD 29 today, but I didn't get a positive OPK until CD 34 last cycle. The thing I'm worried about is that I spotted on CD 19 and 20, which I assumed was ovulation spotting...but apparently it wasn't. So frustrating! I keep getting almost positive OPK's which makes me think that I haven't ovulated yet- last cycle the OPK's went back to being blank after 0.

@lilteacherbee: I know it is a pain, but are you temping, too? I only started temping on my 8th cycle because I didn't want to deal with waking up the same time every day, but it is really interesting to see the temp spike when/if you actually do O. This month I had a few days of maybe positive OPKs, but the temps really confirmed when I actually O'ed. You might want to try it for a cycle just to see what happens.

@GreenThumb: I think I'm going to start temping next cycle. I wanted to wait a couple cycles after going off birth control because we were originally going to be NTNT for the first 2 cycles...but obviously, we just jumped right into it. It would be nice to be able to pinpoint O without all the guesswork.

I'm 9 DPO - is that too soon to test? I'm making myself crazy. We haven't been trying long but I feel like its all I can think about. Any tips on relaxing while waiting for the BFP?

@alison206: I got a very faint BFP on 4 different tests on 9 DPO. They were all faint, but definitely there.

7 DPO here. AF is supposed to show up on Sat. based on my cycle last month...but FF moved it to Monday (strange)? Anyhow, going to try to wait until Sat. to test I think...

@pastemoo: @MamaMoose: Thanks! I'm itching to tell everyone I know, but I know we should hold off.

@alison206: I waited until AF was due to test, but I was definitely antsy. I tried to find something to occupy my time like gardening, running, pretty much ANYTHING so I wouldn't test. I got tired of seeing negatives the past few months, but I knew something was up this month as my boobs were way more sore way earlier than normal.

Just checking in with everyone! How are things going ladies?

I'm at 13 DPO and temps are still up (but that happened last month, too). And while my cycles average 27 days (today is CD 27), last month it was 29 days. I'm not testing this time around unless I am REALLY late - like maybe next weekend - even though Fertility Friend has me testing tomorrow. I have been having some cramping, but other than that, no particular signs either way. So, as always, I'm keeping my fingers crossed! We have an appointment scheduled with the RE next week just in case :).

@littlehunny: Congrats on your BFP! So happy for you!

@GreenThumb: High temps at 13 dpo sound great! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I'm 11dpo and my temps are still high and I've already tested three times. I'm so bad at being patient! All were BFNs, but then when I was reviewing the pictures from this morning on my phone, I feel like I can sort of see an indent/early evap so maybbbeee something's developing there!

I won't test tomorrow because I have to get up super early to be on our local morning show and I don't want to test before that (whether it's positive or negative) because it's hard enough to remember what to talk about on tv without pregnancy on the brain! So now I just have to stay patient enough till Wednesday!

    pear / 1986 posts

@twodoghouse: All the best - not only for a BFP, but on your TV appearance tomorrow. How exciting! And I hope Wednesday that line shows itself completely. Sounds like a good possibility!

@oliviaoblivia: Thanks! I've seen enough BFNs already and being 2 days late last month really psyched me out, so waiting it is!

@littlehunny: Thanks! Hope all is going well with you! How are you doing? Any symptoms yet?

  35. GreenThumb

    pear / 1986 posts

@lilteacherbee: Fingers crossed for you, too! How are things going? I also waited quite a while before temping... only started on cycle 8.

@twodoghouse: Thanks! oooh! Good luck to you for BFP and tv show appearance!

@GreenThumb: So far so good. Not too many symptoms- mainly just sore boobs, bloating, and I'm super hungry already! I have an appointment with the midwife on April 26th. I didn't think I'd get in so soon since I'll only be 6 weeks at that point, but they said they usually see people anytime between 4 & 8 weeks for the first appointment.

Hi Y'all. Can I join the fun? This is my 2nd cycle semi TTC. I'm 2 DPO and can POAS 4/28. DH and I aren't actively actively trying, but I'm still excited to see if this might be the month. I used OPKs this month to figure out my O day. I came off of an IUD 2 months ago so I'm not sure what my cycle length is anymore. Fingers crossed.

I'm on c/d 26 out of 32... AF is due on April 23rd so we'll see! I usually don't POAS until I'm more then a week late, which would put us at April 30th

    Good luck ladies!

@GreenThumb: Nope, still waiting to O, ugh Its now CD 32 and I ovulated last time on CD 35. I'm really confused about the spotting 2 weeks ago. I POAS today just in case and BFN of course. I've had almost positive OPKs for 10ish days straight.

I've been off the pill for almost 3 months (on the 28th) and I've only had one real AF. Really thinking that I'm gonna start temping next time because its so frustrating.
