I won't be POAS for a while (I'm hoping for May sometime!!) but I wanted to pop in and say good luck!!!

Hopefully I will! Today is CD 17 and no positive OPK yet, but last cycle (first one off the pill) I didn't O until CD 35. Just hoping O will come a little faster this month!!

I'm most likely not until early May as well, but I'm on CD9 and hoping to "O" earlier then the past two cycles (CD35, CD30).
I'm upping my acupuncture to twice a week and I have a Drs appointment on Wednesday and hoping for some help with my long cycles. Trying to stay positive!

@greenthumb: I'm definitely going to bring that up tomorrow and I have also had spotting the days leading up to AF, which I know is also a problem. I don't want to go on tons of meds, but hopefully this Dr. is receptive. I'm going in for a routine pap so she doesn't even know what's coming! I have so many questions haha!

@greenthumb: How long have you been TTC for?

Ya i think that's what they would prescribe me if anything. However I'm more concerned about the spotting at this point so maybe progesterone? Or I'll just drug myself up and take both!

So today is CD 20 and no positive OPK yet. Last night I started spotting (light brown) and I was really confused about what it could be. I read that it could be ovulation spotting, so fingers crossed! Its only my second cycle off the pill and I was on it for 8 years (prior to that I was 14 and only had my period for a year), so I really have no clue what my natural cycle is like.

So I had my appointment today with the gyno. It was for a pap, but I brought my charts and a bunch of questions. I'd never seen this doctor before and she seemed very nice. She didn't seem concerned with my long cycles, spotting etc. She said that I need to relax (she told me to go on vacation?) and I don't need medication at this point. But she did say to call her in a few months if I'm still concerned, but don't worry and that I have a 90% chance of conceiving in the next 6 months. Not sure where she got that from, but hope it's true!

I guess I'm feeling a little better. I didn't really think I'd go on meds this early on, but I just wish she had come across more proactive/invested. I'm going to try my best to relax and continue to use OPKs and chart. I'm hoping acupuncture will shorten my cycles a bit. I guess we'll see what happens!

@arielle9510: oh good, hopefully I'll be ovulating soon then! Good to hear that your appointment went well today. I hope the acupuncture shortens your cycles. Have they gotten progressively shorter or stayed about the same length since you got off BC pills?

@arielle9510: not yet! On CD 20 (with the spotting) I had an almost positive OPK, then they went light again until yesterday's (CD 23) which was even darker but not quite positive. So confusing! But my CM is finally matching up with the OPKs, so hopefully I'll get a positive either today or tomorrow. That will still be 10 days earlier than I ovulated last cycle, so I'd be happy

Do ya'll wait until after AF is supposed to show up to start testing? Or start a certain # of days after you O?
