Well, AF is due in four days and I won't be joining in the POAS boards next month. Had my consultation at the fertility clinic today and now have the beginnings of a plan. First month to learn their charting method (they use it for diagnostics) next two months of well timed blood tests and then month 4 we begin treatment. Unfortunately, learning the charting properly means no sex the first month. I was a bit miffed but then when i thought about it, the chances of it working next month is so low anyway it doesn't really matter and i love knowing so ething is going to be done soon. Feeling so relaxed about it all now

@AmeliaBedilia: I really can't believe that about that bill. It makes me mad thinking how we all have to pay this stuff when so many get it for free on demand!

@Snowdrop: that's great you have a plan and feel at peace with it. Fx for you!!!

My friend used to tell me the definition of instantly was doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Not sure if he's accurate but that keeps coming to my mind each month that's unsuccessful.

@sandy: i've heard that expression before but didn't realise just how applicable it was until you just said it then. I think that is why being told to go and try longer is so frustrating!

@sandy: Yes! I keep telling myself that, and that if I had tried to do anything else in life 10 times and failed, I would probably move on to something else. I feel so defeated and wanting to give up, but on the months we have NTNP, I got just as upset.

Afternoon all! Well it looks like I'm 3DPO currently, with FF setting my AF to arrive on Monday due to my short LP's
We had pretty good timing this month....O-3, O-1, and O - but unfortunately I'm still thinking it doesn't mean much due to my LP. I hate a TWW that is really only a 5 day wait.

@Snowdrop: what's the reason for abstaining for a month? I'm so happy you have a plan! I hope you stick around to keep us updated on your journey!

@sandy: wow, I never thought about it like that. So true!

I have a story of hope for all of us......

A dear friend of mine has been ttc for several years with no luck. She has done everything you can imagine just short of IVF which they declined because of learning that she basically had no eggs and no chance of it being successful.

After accepting and beginning to feel relieved that all the fertility treatments were finally over, they decided to start out trying to become foster parents and looking into adoption. They went through all the procedures and classes, then once their home was "open", they got a call to take in a newborn little girl who was probably going to be available for adoption. They did and have had this beautiful little girl for about a month now.

In the process of caring for the baby, she started feeling tired and had some headaches, she hadn't started her period, but thought it was coming any minute so she called about starting the provera the dr had given her to bring on her period previously. They asked her to take a pregnancy test just to be safe and IT WAS POSITIVE!!! After years and thousands of dollars, she is now 6 weeks pregnant AND has a newborn baby girl at home. She is beside herself and scheduled for her first US soon, but her hcg levels have been great!

I am so happy for my friend and I now have a better sense of hope for myself and for all of you!

Proves to me that if we relax and don't stress about it, it will happen!!!

@Crystal: you've got to learn their method of tracking mucous and semen can get in the way. It's really precise and how they diagnose you so it worth doing well I suppose. Plus, if it didn't work for me all those other months, I don't think i'm risking a lot by missing next month.

Will still be on here, just not the POAS thread

@fotolori1: Congrats to your friend, what a lovely story!

I am super stressing about my O date. My temps were low CD16 and 17, but I have major congestion and DH said I was mouth breathing which I rarely do. If I ovulated CD15 as I always do (in the last 10 cycles, O has always been CD14 or 15), we have great timing- O-4, O-2, O-1. If I ovulated CD18, we only hit O-4. CM is hard to go by since we used preseed, but I had EWCM CD15 (hopefully from me, not preseed). Does anyone have any words of comfort for me?

@AmeliaBedilia: I think temping just isn't that accurate unless your conditions are perfect which clearly yours weren't this cycle. I think if your ovulation is very consistent there's a good chance it was consistent again and on CD15!

    @AmeliaBedilia: I agree with @bhbee: !

I have made it to my POAS date for the first time EVER! But now I am too scared to test, I imagine I will start spotting tonight, I mean surely I can't be that lucky....right....?

@AmeliaBedilia: I think that temping is a crapshoot. Like @bhbee: said, I think that your sleeping conditions need to be consistently perfect in order for temping to be effective.

Thanks ladies, I have worked a 13 1/2 hr shift today and I'm on again early tomorrow morning so havn't had time to get a test. I'm too scared to test still. I keep thinking what if I am and having little day dress but then try and snap out of it, I mean I can't seriously be that lucky?!
