I know there was a blog post I think somewhere about a pop-up shade tent or the beach/park? I'm looking for something I can haul and set-up by myself with the baby. We're going to a mommy playdate at the beach and more outdoor meetups. Anyone have a recommendation for a light & manageable one?

I bought this one at costco last year for Madailein, and it's super easy to set up. It rolls up like a tent and doesn't take up much more room than a chair, I keep it in my car.

@shopaholic: we have the tent in this guide - http://www.hellobee.com/2012/07/30/toddler-pooltime-essentials/ - it's a pop up one that's really easy to setup. you should be able to do it on your own without a problem.

that my toddler just adores. Playing in her tent is one of her favorite things. And it just folds to a small circle, so we just tuck it out of the way when it isn't in use. Takes 2 seconds to set up, maybe 10 to put away.
