I've been! Do you know where you'll be going? We did a few days in Lisbon, and then drove south to Lagos for a few days. I highly recommend Sintra, just outside of Lisbon - two amazing castles on the top of a mountain.

When we went, DS was about 15 months so it was a lot different than what you would do on a girl's trip!
We started in Porto for a few days, drove through the Douro Valley and along the coast, stopping in a few places along the way and then stayed in Lisbon for a few nights. I haven't been to the south, but I think there are plenty of nice beaches. Porto was super cute and I wish we had had time to do wine/Port tours. We also really loved Lisbon and wished we had stayed a few extra days. Lisbon is a beautiful city to just wander in with tons of good food. If you plan on driving at all, the highways are in excellent shape. Also, you have to eat bacalhau, which is a cod dish. It's on every menu!

We've been to Lisbon and Porto in the last couple years, both were fantastic cities, so fun to walk around and amazing food. Happy to send recommendations if you decide to go to either place (or both!).
