After a little over a year TTC, polyp removal surgery, and our first IUI, I am wondering if I have finally got our first real BFP.
I did an IUI on April 14th with an Ovidrel trigger shot in the evening of the 12th. This morning, I got a positive on a First Response (with the rounded handle) and a digital. Is it possible that this is the real thing, or is this the trigger shot still in my system?

From what I've read about IUIs (no personal experience), I would be shocked if that's still trigger. Crossing my fingers for you!

I do not have personal experience but from what I understand, that long after the trigger would more likely be a true BFP. I would definitely be calling the doc to get in for bloodwork! Hopefully congratulations are in order!!

My guess would be that it would be a positive. When I did a trigger, my doc said it would be out of my system within 8-10 days. Fingers crossed.

I think that can count as a big BFP for you. Congrats! I remember thinking 12 dpo was in the safety zone post trigger shot.

I am very very cautiously optimistic! Thanks for your feedback all. I'm hopeful that especially because the digital picked it up, it's not the trigger that this point.
I didn't test out the trigger because I was trying to take my mind off of the TWW, but now of course, I wish I had. I have a beta on Friday, so I guess I will just be on pins and needles until then!

I totally get it about not testing out the trigger, so stressful. But now I'd be testing daily until Friday lol. I was thinking the same thing about the digital, good luck with your betas!

@Colette1285: You could call your RE's office and ask for an earlier beta 
. I just did the same after my recent IVF and they let me come in two days earlier, which really put my mind at ease.

. If you go today or tomorrow, you could go back on Friday to see how your numbers are progressing and not have to wait the whole weekend.
I didn't test out the trigger. I wanted the first time I saw a positive to really mean I was pregnant, and the idea of watching that line fade away seemed depressing.

Maybe they will let me come in Thursday instead of Friday at least.

I would definitely think that's real. Even if you had some trigger left it wouldn't be enough for a digital

Yeah, I thought the trigger shot was out of your system within a day or so when I was doing IUIs. Sounds real to me! 
@Colette1285: My RE let me come in immediately after I got my Hope they let you get a beta!

So I took another FRER this morning and digital this afternoon... Both still !
I called the RE and they said I can come in tomorrow for a beta if I want or keep the Friday appointment. Unfortunately I have an early meeting that I can't move, so I will just wait until Friday... Though the obsessive testing will continue.
Fingers crossed this all goes well.

Got my results back!! Positive at 133! I'm going back in on Monday and Wednesday to make sure it's going up properly!
I'm really happy to have the confirmation, but still trying not to get too excited since it is so early. Thanks for the support ladies!!

Thanks all!! My last two betas were pretty good- 399 on Monday and 973 today. The RE was very happy with today's number so no more betas for now. Praying this sticks!!
