I am feeling so helpless right now... a huge bushfire here in Australia has caused my sister and her 4 kids to be evacuated from their home with just a car full of belongings. They didn't have time to get their pets and if the wind changes direction tomorrow as forcast the town has been declared undefendable. 
I'm so scared for them. I wish there is something I could do...but all we can do is wait...
Please send postive thoughts & prayers her way...

Oh no!!!!!!!!! I'm so sorry to hear that - gave me chills thinking about it. It must be so hard on them to have to leave their animals and to think that they might not have a home to come back to. Keeping them in my thoughts!!

I'm so so sad to hear this Squigzabelle (sorry, @Mrs squirreld: ) I'll definitely keep them in my thoughts and prayers. Your poor sister. I don't know what I'd do it I had to face leaving my dogs behind and not knowing if they'll be safe. Horrible.

Just to give you an idea of the size of this fire.... so glad its mostly controlled now..

@Mrs squirreld: I'm so glad to hear they can go back to their home. The pictures of those fires are so scary! We had some wildfires like that last summer and we nearly had to evacuate our home. It left such a sick feeling in my stomach to think that other people had to go through that.
