I thought it would be neat to post our kids’ Halloween costumes. We just went to a Halloween festival, so I figured we all might start getting pictures soon.
My four year old is going as Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas (she’s obsessed). It looks cool but I don’t know if I’ll commit to doing this much makeup ever again. 
My 1.5 year old will be going as a black cat, but I don’t have pictures of her yet.

We haven't gotten any pictures in their full costumes yet. My older daughter is going as Doc McStuffins, and the little one is Lambie- but the last week she started saying she doesn't want to be Lambie 
It's fine. Not like I worked on her costume for weeks or anything.

I am almost done making my son's "Man in the Yellow Hat" costume, I'll get pictures as soon as I get the shirt dyed and the tie finished.

The three year old wants to be Elsa AND Owlette! I think we will be going to an event, so maybe she can wear one to that and the other in the neighborhood. We already owned the Elsa costume; we borrowed Owlette from a friend.
The one year old is going to be Peppa Pig. She's adorably enamored of Peppa; she says about 25 words, and one is PEPPA!! She loves to make the snort too! 
Too adorable. We are doing a pink shirt and red dress from Primary and adding felt pig ears to a headband. I'm contemplating using double-sided tape to add brown felt mud splatters!

The baby (5 weeks) is going to be a duckling. My aunt knit some cute duck feet booties and I got a hat.

Every year we do "family costumes" with a theme. I know it is incredibly corny but I absolutely love it and will do it for as long as DD (10) and DS (nearly 4) will remain enthusiastic to Trick-or-treating in thematic attire with Mom and Dad in tow.

@Hypatia: that is amazing!!! I LOVE nightmare before Christmas, but my older DD is incredibly sensitive to things she thinks are scary and I know she will be traumatized by it. So we wait....
@Kaohinani: love family costumes! We do one every year too. It makes me hopeful to see that your 10 year old is still on board with themed family costumes. Hope we can keep going at least that long.
I don’t have pics yet, but we are doing shimmer and shine this year. DD1 is the blue one, dd2 is the pink one, I’ll be Lea and DH is Zac.

@Kaohinani: My 16 month old is going as Jack Jack this year! DD1 (5) really wanted the whole family to dress up as the Parrs, but DD2 was less than thrilled about being assigned Dash and boycotted. She’s going as Cinderella. DD1 declared Halloween ruined and is going as a “spooky fancy witch” instead

@MrsRoo: DD is tricky with Halloween costumes. She and I begin with ideas in July and finalize our "gameplan" in late August.
I know that if she can help pick the costumes and execute the decorations, I've got her on board for a family theme and Trick-or-treating with Mom and Dad.
@Rattles: 🤣 Oh, my, the costume drama! We have had our share as well. Last year, DH wanted to dress up as either the Avengers OR the Guardians of the Galaxy. DD wanted to be all of the "sexy" female heroines (not appropriate for a 10 year old anyway) and DH told her, "Nope, that is for your mother... you get to be either Scarlet Witch or Rocket." If looks could kill, lasers would have shot from DD's eyes.

My boys decided to be ninjas (well, B decided to be a ninja and W decided to be whatever B is) so I bought ninja costumes, and then daycare told me yesterday that W told them he was going to be a bumblebee, so....yikes.

Doc McStuffins and Lambie. I’ll put my older daughters hair in two braids and need to fix/ add the ruffles to Lambie’s sleeves. Plus I bought a fleece shirt and a fur vest to keep her warmer but she refuses to try the costume on again.
The girls say DH and I are Doc’s mom and dad but that just means I’ve been told to wear jeans and a ponytail. Will do

Boo at the Zoo! It’s so cold here, LO is very layered under his Fireman costume. This flamingo was the only “character” he got super close too. He went as PJ Masks’ Gekko at his daycare’s indoor Fall Fest last night.

3mo twin girls are going to be a lobster and a pig. (“Trayf”, ie non-kosher food.)
I bought silver glitter Uggs to complete my tooth fairy costume.

Trunk or treat, trunk 1. I am the night, baby is my moon and stars, and toddler is my SONshine.
Baby was supposed to be in my star-pattern Ergo wearing her star PJs but it was diaper change time.
My toddler's favorite color is yellow and he wore the Sun safety-pinned to his back for all of 5 minutes.
