I used to work at a pb store, and we'd often give this to people without a physical coupon, just as a 'new mover' discount if they knew to ask for it.
But if you are making a major purchase I really recommend the credit card too. You get great rewards on purchases and I always get $25 off $50 coupons in the mail.
