How close to the start of preschool would you potty train? My younger daughter is 2 years 8 months, starts preschool the week after Labor Day. She doesn’t have to be potty trained to start, but I had it in my head that it would be easier to do it before. She seems interested- frequently saying she has to go potty, though when she sits on the toilet she never goes.

For my older daughter we did the Oh Crap/ 3 day method, roughly. I dont love the idea of “wasting” the last week or two of summer sitting in the house with both kids on potty alert. But it has to happen at some point...

And I stay at home, so that gives me a little more flexibility. DH works from home too so can assist in a pinch.
