I’m PT-ing my 2 year old DD this weekend and I’m losing my mind today. We’re on day two and it’s not going well. I know that typical for day two, but I’m in that stage where it feels like it’s never going to get better.

Yesterday actually went pretty great. She was in a good mood and after a few accidents in the morning, we had a great run in the afternoon where I’d catch a panicky expression on her face and stick her in the potty and she’d go. She even pooped in the potty yesterday.

But today it’s either been all complete accidents or she started peeing and I’d catch her mid pee and put her on the potty. My biggest struggle is getting her to learn how to release it. She can sit and sit and nothing.

It also doesn’t help that I now have two kids to deal with (day care is closed) so DS is driving me crazy and DH is home too and he wasn’t a huge amount of help this morning. Yesterday he worked from home but much help there either. Today he’s been distracted with his computer or doing something else because he thinks the kids are being fine. And then we had a pest control guy we hired show up, so he’s outside with him while the dog’s barking nonstop, DS is complaining about something, and DD is whining and crying and having accidents.

So someone help me remember, does learning to release it just click after a couple days?
