My 2 year is pee trained at home but she still has a couple accidents when we go out and at daycare. She usually saves her poop for her nap and night diapers.
Is your LO partially potty trained or completely out of diapers/pullups and accident free?

DS just turned two a couple weeks ago. We aren't anywhere near potty training, though he knows what the potty is and can tell us when his diaper is dirty.

@autumnlove: We are at 2 years and 8 months and I think we are almost there during the daytime. This week she has had like 6/8 poops on the potty so we are really happy with that progress (it used to be zero).
We will deal with night training later.

@T.H.O.U.: Yay, my LO has only used the potty for poop twice in three weeks....

We aren't starting til at least 2 (at about 19 months now) but I have been not looking forward to this since I was pregnant and using all the public bathrooms, lol.

2 years and 8 months and down to just a night time diaper. We still have an occasional accident and often suggest it would be a good time to use the potty.

2.5 years and she's fully out of diapers. She has one or two accidents a week, pretty minimal.

Regression. LOL my fear came true and I think we missed the window. She has no interest in going potty now.
Oh well, wait for her cues and probably wait till summer to potty train.

#1 is fully trained day and night.
#2 still in diapers.

16 months and in diapers. Going to introduce the idea of the potty at 18 months.

2 years 9 months and he's finally showing an interest with the addition of a Cars potty and sticker/reward chart. We've had several successful pees, but no poops yet.

DS is almost 2, and we just have a potty sitting in the bathroom. We don't push him to use it, it's just there for him to see. He will occasionally ask to to potty and he sits on it, but he's never actually gone on it.
DD is 8 months old and is in diapers.

@locavore_mama: we are in regression too.. I don't think you've reached true regression though... She'll have another window I'm sure...
I think my DS realized its way easier to use his diaper and have someone else clean it up!

@T-Mom: haha hopefully we get another window this summer! I hope to have her out of diapers at least in the daytime before #2 but then I fear a regression after #2 arrives as well...

LO is 2 years 2 weeks and for the past 2 weeks has been peeing in the potty (standing up) right before bath time. We are not pushing him otherwise. Poop will be hard because he always stands to poop in his diaper and I dont know how to get him to sit down.

She's 26 months and we haven't started yet. She was showing lots of interest In the potty a few months ago but that suddenly stopped. We talk about peepee and poopoo and how big girls use the potty, but she doesn't seem to care yet.

2 years 6 months and is in a pull-up during nap and nighttime. She's becoming increasingly drier during her sleep too, and rarely has anymore accidents! I started training last August while on maternity leave.

14m - he will pee every time on the potty and every once in awhile he will poop....but definitely nowhere near out of diapers yet.

My son (aged 3 years 4 months) is both day and night trained for pee. For what it's worth, there is really no "night" training that you can do, they either can hold it or not, based on a hormone or enzyme, so don't feel badly about not being able to accomplish that on the same timeframe as day training. Also, I really think that if your kid is ready, they'll go and they will tell you when they go. We didn't do any naked time at all, we just introduced the potty when he was telling us he was wet already and went from there. If they are having accidents, they're not fully trained. The key is that they have to know before it's too late in all scenarios.
Poop is another story, we're having serious issues with constipation that are constantly putting us one step forward, one step back.

Not interested. 2 years in June. She sees me go, watches her Dad go and will point at the potty from time to time. I am waiting until she shows definitively that she is ready. I don't want to pressure her to do something she isn't ready for yet.

We just started today and we had no accidents all day except a small piddle in the diaper for nap time. She will be 2 in June so I'm happy with our progress, she definitely seems ready!

LO is 17 months and really interested in the potty. We put her on it every night before bathtime. Just slowly starting to intoduce her to it and make it fun/etc. No where near potty trained though.

DD is 2 years 2 months and we have been putting her in undies during the day along with offering potty time every hour or two. It's hit and miss still but she does show interest in going to the seat herself. We aren't pushing it too hard if she really doesn't want to sit but she seems to understand the urge to go. The problem we have now is once she thinks she needs to go, she only sits on the potty for 10 seconds then says "nothing!", gets up then has an accident.

LO will be 17 mo on Friday. We are casually starting. J is very interested in the potty. We have two potty chairs and she always sits on them when I go and makes the pretend "pssssssss" noise I used as an example. She always gets tp and wipes after, even if she just sat there with her clothes on. Tonight she pooped in the potty, after I saw her sit on the potty, squat, then sit on the potty again... I took her diaper off at that point and left her alone, and she did it. I think we are still a ways away from seriously working on it, though with the weather improving, I plan to spend more time out on the deck with her diaper-less and the potty on the deck. I think I should be able to get her to the potty in time that way to strengthen the connection.

At 19 months we are embracing the potty as a concept by not even close to truly potty trained yet. We are taking the long haul approach.
apricot / 468 posts
At 20 months, we are just now introducing the potty very casually. He's had his potty for about 1.5 weeks, and he's peed on it 3x so far. We don't plan to start serious potty training for a few more months.
