I may need to start supplementing with a little bit of formula during the day. I'm debating whether to go with power formula or liquid (pre-mixed).
What kind of formula did you feed your LO?

I used powder. I mixed batches up in my Dr. Brown's Formula pitcher!

We use powdered formula.

I wish we could use powder, but my son is on Alimentum and the powder has corn in it. So we use the liquid, which is corn free. It is so expensive.

We supplement with the pre-mixed liquid.

How many ounces will you be giving on a daily basis? The liquid doesn't last very long once it is opened; so thats one thing to keep in mind.
We feed powder and occassionally the liquid.

@yoursilverlining: We're giving her 4 oz of breastmilk mixed with 2 oz of formula. How long does liquid last once opened? I've never used formula before so I'm new to all of this. =\

when my son was on formula, we used mostly powder since it's cheaper. but when he was a newborn, we used liquid since it came in 2 oz bottles and we received many samples from the hospital.

@Banana: The liquid lasts 48 hours refrigerated; 1 hour unrefrigerated. The liquid is sold in several quantities, i.e., 2 oz bottles, 8 oz bottles, and larger. We have 2 cases of the 8 oz bottles which works well for us.

@MsLipGloss: Thanks for the info! We're using around 6 ounces a day. So I'll probably just stock up on some 8 oz bottles. Now I just have to figure out what kind of formula to feed! I think she might have MSPI so that kind of narrows our choices down quite a bit.
