and I just bought one ticket. It's fun to fantasize about winning the lottery even though you know it'll never happen. I would buy everyone in my extended family a house, pay for all the kids' educations, and pay off everyone's debts to start. Maybe start my own charity. Start several new businesses. Get a cook!!!

I'm buying a ticket and we are doing an office pool. Can't wait to pay off my student loans, buy a house, and quit my job! Woo hoo!
I also made a few gchat contracts for $1 million from my friends if they win since the cash pay out is $278 million.

My husband bought a ticket. We played the imagination game last night:
-Home on at least 10 acres in a gated community
-Fenced in yard
-Large natural pool
-Cook
-Nanny to help out when needed
-Give to our favorite charity
-Cruise
-HAVE MORE BABIES!!!!!!!!!!! Hahah

I love the lottery dream game! Here are the things I would think of doing right away.
-pay off debts (buhbye student loans!!)
-buy and furnish a beautiful forever home (on the ocean!)
-buy a boat (dh is a fisherman)
-brand new top of the line minivan
-whole new wardrobe...throw away everything I own!!
-buy my parents houses
-have baby #2 (and 3 and 4!!)
Aaaaah. It would be SO nice to win (or have my Dad win since I kbow he'd give us a biggggg chunk!).

We are SO BORING when it comes to this. We'd pay off the house and buy a new one (reasonably sized, though, no McMansions), pay off DH's mom's house (or buy her a new one, ha), buy my dad the Mercedes roadster he's eyeballing, take my mom on a shopping spree, DH wants to give everyone in the family $1,000, and then we'd put most of it into high yield savings accounts. Making the money work for you and all that.
But that'd only be if we won a TON of money. We talked about how if we won, say, a million dollars, it would go into the bank and we'd keep living our lives.

Hehe we love buying a few tickets and playing the lottery dream game whenever the powerball gets this big. Here's my list:
- give to our church
- pay off all debts, including car and condo mortgage
- pay off mortgages and credit card debts for both our parents
- purchase our dream home and furnish it
- purchase 2 apartments near our dream home and furnish them (for our parents to live in if they wish)
- buy a luxury RV
- hire a money manager
- hire a full-time, live-in nanny
- hire a housekeeper
- hire a cook

Just reading the title of your thread makes me want to go buy a lottery ticket! Maybe I'll do that during lunch. 
I love fantasizing if I were rich!
- Hire a personal chef to come cook like 2-3 times a week
- Hire a personal trainer
- Hire a housekeeper
- Hire a stylist because I have zero sense of style!
- Send my parents and in-laws on an all paid vacation to where ever they'd like for however long they want. I think my in-laws would love to retire in Cambodia so I'd buy them a house there and hire all the people they need to take care of them, then send them monthly "allowances" so that they wouldn't have to worry about a single thing.
- Pay off the mortgage and car payments
- Buy our dream home and hire an interior designer to help us furnish the place
- Take an extended leave from work to travel the world

The last time the mega millions was big DH and I started dreaming and I think the list we came up with included:
-pay for a group vacation somewhere tropical for all our friends
-buy a huge sprawling property for us with enough space for our families to stay and visit
-hire a chef and maid
-travel the world
-start new businesses/foundation
If we won a smaller amount (eg. In the single millions) we'd probably just buy a new house and put the rest in the bank.
