I always get super gassy before a BFP. And my breasts get sore a few days earlier than they do with PMS.

Yep, cramping and implantation spotting, which I had thought was my period starting, same with the mild cramping.

DS - boobs got so sore and the veins were super noticeable; a weird fishy smell down there that lasted a couple weeks (I've never had that smell except when newly pregnant.)
DD - nausea and also cravings out of nowhere - it was bizarre; a weird fishy smell down there that lasted a couple weeks
The symptoms have been totally different each time minus the smell.

I was bloated and my boobs looked bigger to me (but I think that was in my head).

No - but I also wasn't symptom spotting or aware I was pregnant until my period was late, so I wasn't actively looking for any symptoms. Can't say what I would have noticed had I been looking for symptoms!

Yes, I was insanely thirsty. I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks the cycle before, and haas been extra thirsty then too, so I knew it was a symptom. The extra thirst started around 10 dpo, and I didn't get a positive until 14 dpo, despite testing the day before. I also had different smelling discharge and slightly fuller boobs.

First one, I had implantation cramping- can't say whether I would have noticed it or not if I wasn't looking for it.
2nd- so so tired. I was at dinner the night before I took a test saying to my friend "I just don't know why I am so exhausted!" I also had to loosen my belt at dinner because I was so bloated. We hadn't been trying and I only took the test as a precaution but really didn't think I was pregnant, so I would say it wasn't just in my head.

I experienced some cramping/pinching around implantation for both kids, but I also experienced cramping/pinching during a BFN cycle, so...

@Foodnerd81: I would say this is my main symptom! Even though I've slept fairly well the past few days, I'm so exhausted I can hardly keep my eyes open. Plus a smidgen of nausea and a whole lot of moodiness!

All day low back pain and extreme exhaustion. Those were the ones that set it apart from regular period symptoms.

My first symptom both pregnancies was extreme fatigue. I could sleep all day!

The biggest thing for me was sore nipples! PMS symptoms for me always include nausea and sore boobs, but my BFP month my nipples were sore and felt really sensitive/ almost itchy.
