Since I went off BC almost a year ago, I have been loosely tracking my cycles using an app on my phone, but they are getting longer (from 28-30 days right after coming off BC to 38+; I'm on cd41 right now with no signs of AF) and harder to predict.

FH and I will likely start TTC toward the end of 2014 (November, December). I was not planning on charting at all unless we were having difficulty TTC, because I wanted to keep things as relaxed as possible in the beginning, and I tend to have an obsessive personality type. However, these lengthening cycles are driving me a bit batty, and I wouldn't mind having a better understanding of what is going on with my body.

How far in advance did you start charting, or did you wait until after you started TTC? Any suggestions for slowly wading into the charting pool? Like I said, I really want to try to avoid getting obsessive - is there a balance?
