We have a preschool interview today. Please wish us luck! Maybe I'll write a blog post about the process. It's kind of over the top and reminds me of Cam and Mitchell's interview for preschool in Modern Family! I asked Mr. Jacks if he wanted me to pretend that I'm American Indian

@Boogs: First you go to an orientation night, then you submit a detailed application about your child, then they select you for parent interview, then they evaluate your child for readiness.
Crazy, huh?

@MamaMoose: So sweet. I'll take it as a good sign that they remembered Little Jacks and mostly just had us ask them questions. We won't find out for sure until mid to late April for sure, but I'm hoping we've got this!

I want to hear about this. I'm horrible at job interviews so I hope that doesn't hurt LO's chances. I'm hoping it's a completely different ballgame.

@Maysprout: This is the local Montessori school. I think they just want to make sure to weed out troubling parental personalities and child behavior problems best they can

This is crazy, I didn't know this happened in real life, only in the movies. I'm from the midwest & a small town area, so the preschool selections are very limited and every kid is accepted.

@Mrs. Jacks: Oh ok. I don't really know much about Montessori education, I've read about some of the philosophies but don't really know how that translates to classrooms. I'd love to read a post on how you guys picked out the preschool.
