Yay - we bought a grill and grilled our own burgers
Not yay - my stomache woke me up twisting and cramping, forced me to run to the bathroom, and I am nauseous.
"Well, they are pinker than I prefer, but I'll be fine" was probably not a good sentence to utter.

NO! That sucks! I've been there done that. Might as well bring a pillow & blanket into the bathroom. Hope you feel better soon!

Aw, hope you feel better. I used to work in a steak house and while we could serve the steaks rare we weren't allowed to serve the hamburgers anything less than med well. I guess with the way they grind up the hamburger meat the nasties on the outside can easily end up in the middle, but with a steak as long as you sear the outside the inside is usually safe.

Thanks all. Had a long, rough night. It didn't help that DH volunteered to go be at work by 4 a.m. this morning and that LO had a sketchy night. I'm feeling better this morning though.
@Maysprout: I normally like my meat well done, all of it. I thought these were until I started eating it. Grilling fail.

Oh that sounds awful. Glad you are feeling better. I get nervous about this when I'm eating in a dark backyard- it's so hard to tell how we'll done it is.
